Owing to too much sun, in my earlier years, it has become necessary for me to have an annual dermatological checkup. Dr Cowen does not always find something. When he does, he sends a sample to a lab and gets back to me with an assurance or a recommendation. Sometimes, a procedure is necessary, and I am referred to the surgical center in Silver Spring. These checkups are professional, painless, and absolutely necessary.

First visit with Dr Cowen (am existing patient of other MD’s in this practice). Needed a biopsy. Dr. Cowen explained why & quickly andpainlessly performed this. I found him to be a skilled & knowledgeable physician as well as a very pleasant person. Highly recommend. Thanks also to Nora, the Med Asst who is excellent , Laura at the front desk (always smiling &helpful) and Candy & Sierra & Dr Lockshin who facilitated my urgent appointment.

Dr. Cowen was great. He was engaging, and explained well my issue. He even used a drawing to explain the proposed intervention. A very positive experience from appointment and check in to preparation by his assistant and onward referral for follow through.
