Montgomery Sports Medicine Center's Online Review Report Card

I visited this clinic in March for groin-related pain and was diagnosed with osteitis pubis. I followed the prescribed treatment plan, including two months of physical therapy, with minimal progress. Concerned by the lack of improvement, I later consulted a sports medicine specialist who ordered imaging (X-ray and ultrasound). The correct diagnosis turned out to be a double athletic pubalgia — a condition that requires a different therapeutic approach altogether. As a result, I lost valuable time, spent hundreds of dollars, and experienced prolonged discomfort due to a misdiagnosis that could have been avoided with proper evaluation and imaging. So long story short: avoid this place.

Just plan for extra time when you schedule your appointment. They run 30-45 minutes late even for the earliest appointments. They seem good once you are seen.

After dubiously trying to walk off a knock on my ankle from excessive running as a soccer referee, both of my Achilles tendons were not in good shape. A referral to MSMC in White Oak and 2.5 months of PT led by PTA Ashley has guided me for an enthusiastic yet cautious return to refereeing in the spring! Calling to arrange a series of appointments was streamlined and effective despite the surge in patients due to scholastic sports, I was still able to get a good amount of appointments within my preferences of afternoon weekday sessions. The lady on the phone would give you a variety of times on offer so you wouldn't be boxed in to certain dates or times. Dr Khubaib was the doctor who diagnosed my injury and was transparent in the process. To not feel lost with a doctor is common, but to feel like they're completely in it for your recovery is truly great and helped ease off any anxiety when starting my PT sessions. PT Helena started my road to recovery and gave me an effective home exercise plan, she's very professional and well-tuned to what's going on with her patients. PTA Ashley saw me out with flying colors, her personality and training style made me feel like I could be back to my former self within the month, but kept me in check to be fit and healthy before going for it. Something very common in athletes is the urge to recovery quickly, but she's true to her goal of a sustainable recovery wherever possible and will always make sure you're within your limits. It was almost like I had hired a 1-on-1 personal trainer as she offered great motivation and advice on where to improve and how to do so. Not to mention she was super friendly and would always look out for your wellbeing when attempting to progress to a higher intensity exercise. To summarize, MSMC in White Oak is a welcoming site and staffed with helpful people who will do their best to get you where you want to be. Their diagnosis sector is superb and precise. Their PT sector is true to your goals of recovery. The goal isn't to push myself past my limit recklessly, but if I pick up an injury I know where I'm going to.

Avoid this place like the plague. Their billing practices are dishonest and unethical. They will overcharge for your visit, they will charge you for things they didn't do, they will bill you years later when they think you won't be fight them for their overcharging of services. As another reviewer put it, "this place is absolutely dishonest... Avoid at all costs."

Great experience here. Some dog friends knocked me off my feet and I tore a ligament in my left foot. Went to urgent care and they referred me to this place. Doctor Mohammad seemed very a experienced and was also friendly and pleasant. The woman at the front desk was also friendly and pleasant. Everyone had a sense of humor and despite the pain I was feeling I actually oddly enough enjoyed the visit. I will definitely go back if necessary and would recommend them to anyone. I see some very negative reviews but they appear to be from many years ago so probably whatever was wrong has turned around.

Dr Kessous is an orthopedic doctor who specializes in non surgical therapies like physical therapy or steroid shots etc. He refers patients out for any needed surgery so one good aspect of that is he doesn't try to pressure you into having surgery. His in-house physical therapist (Christian Bernard) is really good and the ones who didn't treat me seem good too. His team helped me conquer back pain, knees pain and finger strain (too much computer use). His reception team is newer and everyone has been very polite and helpful to me. Would go again for any other orthopedic injury.

The staff was supper professional and Dr Eran K. was great with my children. Best practice that I have been to!

10/10 recommend Dr. Kessous. He is great with kids and patient. Does a thorough evaluation including xrays in office.His staff is very nice and professional.

They have very weak service, no one is available to help you at time , long waiting for nothing, loss of your job, no fast response on the phone keeps us waiting more than an hour that is not good, frustrating us if you have something urgent then everything is going to worsen. I was referred here by my doctor. I told her about the strain on my shoulder and she referred me to Dr. Kessous Office. When I got there, the front desk lady was fast and VERY helpful in figuring out what I needed to get going with my treatment. In under 10 minutes, in a VERY busy office, I was already registered and in line to have a visit with Dr. Lawless. After seeing Dr. Lawless, he referred me to Physical Therapy. I have been going to Physical Therapy with Mr. Christian and he's GREAT! My shoulder has been able to handle more weight as I bounce back weight lifting and I feel more comfortable overall. I had troubles driving with my left shoulder and now I can comfortably sit behind the wheel for hours. Tracy is another worker there, she's contacted me on the fly for whenever a cancellation happens to get in line for Physical Therapy. This office works SWIFT, EFFECIENR, and PROFESSIONAL! I'd HIGHLY suggest coming here for any issues they can help with! - Jefferson
