List of Pirooz Mofrad's Reviews
I am 57 years old, and this is only the second time, I am reviewing a medical facility, and the only negative one because across the US and developing countries where I have interacted with medic al facilities, this is the worst, most callous and disgusting treatment, I have experienced. I got to the office around 4:05 or 4:07 for a 4:30 appointment. The woman at the very front took my insurance card and ID immediately and came back a few minutes later to say, I needed a referral. This slipped through the cracks because I had seen another specialist, who was a referral by my PC, but he said he was not the person for the procedure I needed. He referred me to Dr. Mofrad. The truth is, every appointment I have had this year, my PC either sends the referral off or the specialist's office calls for it. This is why it was not on my radar. I called my PC at 4:11 p.m. and they were preparing to send the referral over but the two staffers were having none of it. Note, this is a cardiologist office and I waited more than two months for the appointment, and it was not 4:30 yet! The staff who took my ID said it was going to take a while to check-in, and the other further to the back, said no less than THREE times, that its the doctor who said they must reschedule me. This was clearly not about the referral. My doctor's office was on the phone and still had more than 15 minutes BEFORE my appointment time to send the referral over by fax or email. No, they never offered to wait for the referral. Had they done that, there would have been NO issue. That is what I was asking. My "anger" was simply questioning why and pointing out that we still were 15 minutes away from my appointment. I have never been to a physicians office where the staff has been so hostile and uncaring but I know that the character of an organization flows from the leadership and the doctor's response, which is pure fabrication explains why. He knows the correct buzzwords - talking about anger and bullying. I own my annoyance and disappointment as a legitimate response to behavior that one does not expect from a medical practice whose customers are vulnerable people, but please tell me who was bullied and how - other than you not honoring an appointment made more than two months ago, and the time and resources it cost me to get there. I suggest you invest more time learning about the ethical responsibility of a physician and train your staff accordingly.
Adequate if all you need is a "Flowchart" style doctor. Not the doctor for me.and my complicated health.
Great surgeon! I have to add to the fact that after initial review, he went over and above what would be a normal Sunday for him when he was not even on call for an incident with my wife. I cannot put it all to words, other than amazing human being and professional.
I was referred to Dr Mofrad. by my own doctor he he is very competent Dr and knows his job very well. I had a procedure done by him about couple years ago and I'm going to go see him again because I had a reoccurring and I have a full confidence in his ability
I’ve been a patient of Dr Mofrad for nearly 10 years. His knowledge, care, and demeanor are superior. I’m from a medical family and background, I Dr shopped in the DC area for an electrophysiologist, and I’m so glad I chose Dr Mofrad!!!
Dr. Mofrad has been taking care of my mom for the last 12 years. I have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a cardiologist.
What a great Dr. I’ve been with him for about 4 years. Not a bad thing to say.
Best Cardiologist ever! Excellent bedside manners, funny and straight to the point! Highly recommended!
He is the best Dr. I have ever had!
Dr. Mofrad was the first doctor to determine I was experiencing cardiac failure. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and very caring, I felt that I was receiving excellent care under him. Based on my medical insurance and additional heart failure issues which required additional specialized care I was forced to make a change to a more diverse cardiac team. I highly recommend him to anyone! Very nice man!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
