List of Richard A. Kurnot's Reviews
Dr Kurnot has been one of the most responsive doctors I've ever had. I met him in the hospital with a kidney stone. He's helped me manage incidental findings from a CT scan. What's amazing is he responds quickly via email to all my question. He referred a specialist and they called me the same day! I had some issues getting a callback from his assistant. I know offices are busy, so I appreciate his direct communication via the portal.
I have been going to Dr. Kurnot for many years. He is very kind and makes me feel comfortable. He always takes his time. I feel he is an excellent doctor and I trust him. His staff is also always pleasant. I love this office.
Nice office and staff. Dr Kurnot is pleasant and knowledgeable.
I'v been going to Dr. K for many years and find his expertise and bedside manner to be excellent. He operated on my prostate 6 yrs ago using cryo surgery and the results have been excellent.
Seen him for a Prostate operation. He was having a bad day because he was running over an hour late. Then his computer didn’t work. So we had a short visit. I had to call back to find out about several questions I had. He would’t Reply so I took a letter to his office. He call me the next day an said he didn’t want to operate on me. That was it.
I have been a Patient of Dr. Kurnot for many years. I find him to be very competent, personable and a caring Professional. After reading the first two reviews I felt obligated to make my voice heard. Both comments were totally hear say based on no facts. I have been in the Computer Industry for many years and to hear the person mention Univac or Unisys tells me the individual who made the comment has been out of the Computer Business for many years. Unisys is out of business with Univac being an antiquated computer that has NOT been manufactured in 25 years. The system used by Chesapeake is a PC based system and has nothing to do with Dr. Kurnot professionalism or capability. Dr. Kurnot is a very good doctor!!
He and his team are first rate. I had an emergency causing great discomfort and from the time I arrived, the receptionist expedited my office registration experience and the assistants helped relieved my pain promptly. What a relief! I feel that I am in good hands with well seasoned professionals whenever I visit. And Dr. Kurnot has prescribed meds that have greatly controlled my problem.
Eight years ago Dr. Kurnot removed my cancerous prostate. His care has been EXCELLENT. He is VERY knowledgeable and was always thorough. He was also compassionate and remembered my case. He always asks about my family and is always very helpful.
Helped me with my kidney stone..Excellent Clinical skills..
He rescheduled me two times for his convenience when I really needed to see him. Finally, I was able to accept an imposed schedule. The time was not a convenient for me so I get to my appointment 15 minutes late. As a result, the doctor refuses to see me forgetting that he missed two previous appointments. Bottom line: his time is valuable but the patient''s time worthless.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
