List of Sorana Hila's Reviews
Dr. Hila was my husband’s doctor for several years. When he needed dialysis she wanted him to drive way over to some seminar location and learn about methods when we were trying to use metro access for wheelchair transportation which is very unreliable . He then ended up getting emergency dIaylisis at the hospital because of the delay. She waited too long and could’ve provided perhaps Internet websites or other recommendations for information sources. She also often got his hopes up and even mentioned the possibility of him travelling again which was kind of cruel considering the shape he was in and giving me false hope as well. When the social worker in the retirement community where we lived mentioned hospice and I asked the her about it ; she said he was nowhere near needing it. He died less then a year later, partly due to her negligence, lack of concern and failure to disseminate important information to us. She let us down. She usually saw him every week at the dialysis center. He asked her about these muscle contractions he was having and apparently she led him to believe it was not a important concern.. However after he died the next week after another episode, possibly due to electrolyte imbalance she let me know that a lot of dialysis patients die on Monday morning....! Thanks for telling me now Doc. She could’ve warned me about this issue and given us information regarding the dangers of being without dialysis for two days. I would have taken these symptoms very serously and immediately called the ambulance . It’s one thing to be positive but another to give your patient a false sense of security. Shes the doctor and needs to inform her patients regarding any serious issues.
Dr. Hola is an extremely competent practitioner and a great person. She takes time to explain medical issues in a way the patient can understand and always provides clear answers to questions. I credit her for managing my kidney disease for years and preventing any further progression. I have several doctors who are great, but she is my favorite.
Dr. Hila is a fine doctor. Her manner is friendly and casual, and she has a nice sense of humor. Using a variety of diagnostic methods and utilising reports from my other doctors, she has helped me keep my kidney issue under control. She also looks at the big picture, which I say because on one of my visits she recognized and suggested treatment for a condition I had, and was unaware of, that was pretty far from her practice. It was a sleep disorder, and thanks to her suggestion for treatment I have that under control as well. Highly recommended.
Over Step Boundaries with Patient and Doctor Relationship. You have no right to share confidential conversations I had with you. You have stepped over your boundaries with Mr. H. If you share my confidential information while helping Mr. H. my question what else would you share. You owe us apologies for causing divisions between patient and caregiver relationships. You have also told patient to let her give you her kidney and then leave her. Those words are not ethical and not fair coming from a doctor. I will be speaking to you about this matter and I am expecting you to clear it up between patient and my relationship.
My husband saw her for many years. First off, she waited too late to recommend dialysis so he ended up in the hospital for emergency treatment. She did not give us accurate and complete information regarding his most recent symptoms. She did not warn us how dangerous it can be to go without dialysis for two days but after he died said its well known joke how dialysis patients often die on Monday mornings.....thanks for the heads up , doctor! If we had know how severe this electrolyte issue could be we would have sought immediate help. My husband asked her about it about 10 days before....no explanation or warning was given.
My exposure to Dr. Hila has been quite positive. She is gentle, caring and thoughtful and explained my situation well. I will definitely be seeing more of her as we go about systematically addressing my medical issues.
I have been working with Dr. Hila for 3 years. She compassionately managed my father-in-law through Renal failure. She was always very thorough & honest - we were blessed to have her part of our healthcare team.
I have been a dialysis nurse for over 20 years. Dr HILA is the most talented and most comprehensive physician I have ever worked with including my 20 years in critical care. Dr HILA is respectful to all patients and staff. She is consistent in her delivery of care and temperament. I highly recommend Dr Hila . Catherine Parker RN

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
