Maria Novella Papino-Higgs's Online Review Report Card

If u are looking for a doctor for your child, Dr Papino-Higgs is not what u are looking for. First of all, she is only open 3 days a week. Her office rarely answers the phone or returns calls, and she is rarely available for an appointment if u can even sc hedule one. She was a good doctor until covid, since then she will do nothing but telehealth visits if my son only has a cough or a sneeze. She is so afraid of covid it seems like she will not do in office visit for sick children. I finally found my son a good pediatrician that is right in leonardtown near where I live who makes same day appointments which is what I need for my 6 year old. Dr Papino is either never there, or completely booked for months. Terrible doctor.

Dr Papino goes above and beyond to help you to understand what is going on she does not give you a run around. She is the most loving and caring dr out there.. I would miss her terribly 😔 if she ever had to go.

Poor...absolutely poor....several times couldn't get my prescriptions refilled....every my needles for my insulin!! Didn't have insulin for 4 days...she wasn't in the office! Recently, dealing with family member with dementia and another with cancer..her reply.." one day at a time!" Dr Papino position is to provide a service to find help you need....she showed me absolutely no compassion or empathy! Awful physician..done with her!!

Dr. Pappino is friendly enough. The office is clean and well looked after. However, I have never been seen remotely close to on time at this office. Typical wait times have been 40 minutes just to have vitals taken and seated in an exam room. Also, a few years back after first coming to see her, I requested a physical be performed for a new job and a form filled out. She had several weeks before the deadline. The deadline was approaching so I called and called her office. Office staff would brush me off, the deadline came and went she never sent the forms, I didn’t get the job. I normally choose the VA over her since this incident (which is saying something), but my wife and kids like her so I still have to tolerate it.

I love her. Extremely sweet and kind. She sees our entire family!

Dr. Higgs is the BEST! Always takes care of me. Explains in detail and gives hugs as soon as she comes into the room!

Will not follow up or respond by phone. Typically long wait times. Staff seems apathetic about delays. I guess the status quo is to wait as long as it takes.

Doctor Papino, is the most caring doctor I have met. I have a family of six, and she remembers us and truly cares. I don’t have to repeat myself everytime I see her like most of my other doctors. She genuinely cares about her patients and her staff are always there to answer our questions.
