List of Nima Hassan Calaf's Reviews
I chose a woman of color as my doctor on purpose I wanted to ensure my doctor was on the same page with my healthcare needs. Dr Calaf is super in tune with me and my health and medical needs. She calls to check on me as well as offers video appointments. Her bedside manner is always pleasant and attentive. Any questions or concerns I have she is always listening and her feedback is straight up. I always feel in good hands with her ....
This doctor can be very rude at times. I’ve never seen a doctor that get offended when you choose to see a specialty doctor (endocrinologist). To get a medication refill you have to keep coming back in to her office. If you are off from work, she want you to pay to get forms filled out. I’ve never experienced a doctor that’s so difficult to deal with, very argumentative as a primary care. Not to mention there’s a high turn-over with her front desk staff. There’s someone knew every month there. The worst experience ever!
She has taken EXCELLENT care of my mother and is very attentive to her needs.
I found Dr. Calaf online from my insurance provider. By the time I saw her, I had about 10 different things going on with my health. Dr. Calaf took the time to listen to all of my issues AND she addressed EACH issue one by one. For once, I didn't feel rushed by the doctor or told that they will only see me for 1 issue. She diagnosed each illness properly and I started to feel better immediately after following her instructions once I got home. I was looking for a new PCP and Dr. Calaf is it! I'm just glad I lucked out and found the best doctor ever the first time around!
She is great
I had been looking for a Primary Care Provider for a while before I came across Dr. Calaf. My initial visit was awesome and I felt this doctor was going to be a great fit because my previous doctor was no longer in practice. Boy was I wrong! Dr. Calaf would recommend facilities that were expensive and outside of my coverage. When I decided not to see a specialist she recommended she was upset. She asked me to come in for a visit to her office one morning to bring in lab results that she claimed she did not receive and visiting a specialist for a procedure. When I lost track of the event and wasn't able to come we agreed it was okay because she wasn't able to get in contact with the specialist anyway and I assured her I would have the lab fax over a copy of the information and I did so. Later that evening, she contacted me and let me know that she wanted to refer me to a specialist about results from another lab I had completed. The condition that came back was something I was already aware of and expressed to her that I have been dealing with the condition that was present on the lab since I was born and I do have to take medication for it. I expressed this on my first visit. She then told me I need to see a specialist and that I needed to get a procedure done with them. No problem, however I had the procedure done two weeks prior to the phone call. Dr. Calaf then stated that I needed to have them check me out because she needs them to find out why I have the ongoing condition, I explained I have had it since birth and it is something that is monitored closely with my doctors and it is something I am well aware of. I then asked her why she would recommend I go to a specialist when I am already aware of the issue and if there was something she was seeing on the test that was concerning to her for her to state this. She said well you were supposed to come in earlier and you didn't and you don't have to take my advice if you don't want to. You are a grown adult and you don't have to take my medical advice if you do not need to, I am only telling you what I think you should do, I cannot force you to take care of these things. I stated that was not what I was saying I was only asking if there was something you saw that would raise concerns about my condition and is there something I need be alarmed about. She repeated that I did not have to take her advice that I am an adult and it is my choice but she does recommend I find another doctor. She stated she doesn't feel like she needs to be my doctor anymore. I am not sure what was the problem but her demeanor was defensive and I was not sure why I was not rude nor disrespectful to her and I was just trying to gain clarity. If you have a choice, please go with someone who will be willing to take the time to explain things to you and not get frustrated when you are asking your why's.
Dr. Calaf is a very attentive doctor. She addressed my concerns in a very professional and cordial manner. She has a great knowledge of her field. She is an excellent doctor, and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doctor who is a spot on with their diagnosis and treatment.
The doctor spent enough answering all questions and she was knowledgeable. The staff was helpful and the wait time was very short.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
