Wow have fun trying to call and schedule. His secretary is extremely rude and makes me really turned off from the practice. Direct quotes ' I don't think you're understanding me.. You're NOT Understanding!. She was practically yelling. Unprofessional. What does it say about him that he Hired her?

Terrible. Did not discuss nothing with me. Did not discuss what I was there for. All he did 95% of the time was talk into a machine. He did a quick exam of my abdominal area and then talk in to a machine. Did not discuss the 3 tender spots and possible cause. Then he said he was going to perform 2 procedures when I only needed 1, since I just had the other and nothing was wrong. Feel he was attempting to commit fraud, since he wanted to repeat a prior procedure by another Doctor. I refused the 2nd procedure and he said if I did not like it go to another Doctor / Hospital. I was only exercising my Patients rights and he did not like it. He thought he was boss and could do anything he wanted to my body and I had no say. Would not recommend him for nothing including would not take an animal to him.

Dr. Hutcheon has proven himself to me over many years as a doctor who goes over and above the expected level to provide the best of care for his patients. He is kind, compassionate, and caring; as well as, extremely knowledgeable and quite gifted in the medical field. Dr. Hutcheon carefully listened to me, as others wouldn't, when I first went to him. He quickly assessed the real depth of my rather rare illness, and started to work treating it with thoroughness and continuing assessment. He promptly hospitalized me twice at Johns Hopkins Hospital for appropriate treatment where, despite the availability of in-hospital staff; he visited me nearly every day himself. Dr. Hutcheon has followed up regularly; but, not excessively, to ensure my health status and always is available for a visit or phone call if I need him. He always makes me feel like he really cares about me, personally, and that any appointment or time spent with me is not just about more money for him. I cannot say enough good about Dr. David Hutcheon. I know that I would not be alive if he and Dr. Christian Merlo had not become involved in my medical care. I thank God every day for placing me in his wonderful care.

Dr. Hutcheon is incredible! My GP said,"Going to him for a colonoscopy is like killing an ant with an atom bomb!" but it's worth the drive from DC since he is so precise, thorough and patient friendly and colonoscopies are only every 5 years or so. His staff is also outstanding. He goes above & beyond: He saved the life of my father-in-law who got sepsis at another hospital when others could not help. Dr. Hutcheon assembled a team who made my father healthier than he had been in years.
