This Dr ended my life, only with God i have taken my life. To take out very mild cataracts on a 25 yr old, misinform him about the life changes and the kind of glasses he would be using afterwards, is just evil. Every Dr knows one rule, if the cataract isn't bothersome don't touch it, the vision this young man was given afterwards is just unbelievable to me.

I was, at first, reluctant to go to Dr. Shalaby because he was taking over the practice of a long time friend/ophthalmologist. Upon my first visit he discovered "a spot" and immediately refered me to a specialist who has found a major, but correctible problem. If I found any fault with his examination it would be that I think he sugar-coated what was going on in my eye. But at least I had less to worry about for a few days until the specialist looked at it. Shalaby is very competent. His staff is excellent. BC/BS did not cover everything, but I don't remember what I paid in cash. Whatever it was, it was worth every penny.
