MIchael H. Hotchkiss's Online Review Report Card

BEWARE!!!! Do not come here if you suspect you have anything remotely serious going on like PCOS or endometriosis. Doctor basically pushed me and my pain aside all because my “blood work was normal”. My ultrasound showed various abnormalities that he didn’t care about whatsoever, and when I expressed concerns about my pain severity while he was reading the test results he told me to take a diuretic or drink papaya juice……PAPAYA JUICE for crippling and debilitating pain. Went to a specialist and was diagnosed with severe endometriosis. Even he couldn’t believe how badly I was disregarded by Hotchkiss, because if I hadn’t listened to my gut about my pain who knows how long I would’ve had before infertility was my reality. I think it’s time for Hotchkiss to retire for that alone. Also the staff behind the counter was completely unprofessional when I went in. They were actively talking badly about patients the Dr. even commented on a woman’s breast size being super small, and another about a woman being a giant because she was 5’10- which upset me because I’m quite tall for a woman and I was sitting right there & it made me so uncomfortable.

Doctor Hotchkiss delivered 3 of my 5 children way back in the 90s!!! He did an excellent and amazing job. He is by far my favorite and most professional OB/Gyn. He always had time to listen, address concerns and make me feel comfortable. Even in labor his bedside manner was great. He is serious about his work and he can also joke around with ya to lighten tension when those labor pains would hit!!! We didn't have Google review back than so I'm leaving my review 27 years later! He delivered my 2nd, 3rd and 4th children. My first and 5th deliveries were elsewhere. I absolutely loved having my babies and having them every 2 years was a good experience for me. I was young, in my 20s and had the energy to be a very active momma! I'm now 48 and I'm hoping that Dr.Hotchkiss will now see me again as I'm not sure but think starting menopause!?!?! Wish me luck!!!

Dr. H has provided me nothing but warmth, caring energy. Every birth experience I’ve had has been nothing short of amazing. This office makes you feel like family. Ashley is so kind and always answers the phone when I call by name rather than just a generic greeting. Ashley pre scheduled all my appts for the year and even wrote them down for me to have!! Judy is super supportive and steps in for Dr. H whenever she can and I love that. I wouldn’t want to be at any other doctor for the care of my children/birth experiences. Thank you all so much for being such a light during my pregnancies.

Current patient at Dr. Hotchkiss office. From the first day I called to set up my first pregnancy check up-Ashley was very welcoming and walked me through the intake process. The entire staff at the office are professional and caring. During my first appointment, Dr.Hotchkiss immediately made my worries at ease of being high risk pregnancy. He took the time to explain, in a attentive ,caring manner. Extremely knowledgeable and always adds sense of humor to the experience. Blessed to be his patient!

If you are pregnant I would suggest to look at other actual facilities that directly work with hospitals. This office is not equip to with stand the demand of pregnant patients especially the routine of things that have to be done every visit. That won't be done here. In my experience I wish this office was more professional and caring in the way they handled and treated their patients. I also would liked to know why Dr. Hotchkiss didn't tell me I needed to go back for another ultrasound to see my baby's brain and heart more clearly. (I personally don't think they even looked at the pictures or know what they were looking at) If you get blood drawn I am sorry in advance. The person that takes blood jabs you and it hurts really bad. (Im not afraid of needles) Judy is very indifferent do not expect to get a straight forward answer from her. Ashely is the only one there that is very nice, she is your friend. Judy Hotchkiss literally replied back to someone with a review(TO THE PRACTICE)and still proved to be the most asinine person and why people don’t like dealing with her. She stated she’s been getting better but that’s not what I saw in that review and she gave it 5 stars. Disappointing. Unprofessional.

Dr. and Judy Hotchkiss are the most amazing people I have ever met. They cared not only for the well-being of the babies they helping to bring into the world, they care for the whole family. My husband and I struggled for years with failed pregnancies and miscarriages and then we were linked with Dr. Hotchkiss. As a result of his wisdom, expertise and kindness we had our first child. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer he referred me to the most amazing team of doctors with similar temperament, care, and professionalism. Low and behold the day of surgery I found out I was pregnant. I had to pause treatment, but they were a solid space during a very unstable time. Not too many doctors can say they treated a breast cancer patient while pregnant. We also successfully delivered a second child as a result of his skill, support and God’s faithfulness. If you want one of the best then LOOK NO FURTHER.

This is the worst doctor’s office and staff I have ever experienced in my life. Dr. Hotchkiss is literally collecting a check and does not care about the woman’s well being. I received false test results and had to remind him to check my vitals. The staff is even worse. Judy and Ashley are deceitful, unprofessional, and do not hold themselves accountable for the inaccurate information they provide. Do Not allow this office to deliver your child. Find a team that actually cares.

Dr. Hotchkiss oversaw my pregnancy and recently delivered my twin boys. From the first phone call with his staff, I realized that we'd be well taken care of. His friendly staff made scheduling our appointment simple and straightforward. Dr. Hotchkiss is kind and personable. When we asked questions, he'd explain exactly what was happening in easy-to-understand language and often told fun stories. He worked closely with our maternal fetal medicine doctors to monitor our high risk pregnancy and safely deliver our boys. He made my twin pregnancy an enjoyable process. I highly recommend Dr. Hotchkiss.

By far the best doctor I have ever gone to, out of any speciality. I never thought I’d be one to go to a male gynecologist, but Dr. hotchkiss has such a calming effect about him. He clearly knows exactly what he is doing, and always makes me feel very comfortable. The office manager Judy is so kind and accommodating any time I need something or any help. This office is well worth the hour drive it takes me to get here.
