List of Spyridon Akrivakis's Reviews
Dr. Akrivakis is a very special person, a gentleman and a scholar. I found him to be caring, made sure I understood what was happening and provided excellent solutions for my problems. I highly recommend him for all cardiac issues. In my opinion he is the best.
Takes his time with you while explaining all your options.
Dr. Akrivakis is an extremely knowledgeable, direct and caring professional. He presented in-depth explanations of proposed treatment plans from medical intervention to catheter ablation. He was willing to spend as much time as I needed to understand my condition, options and possible outcomes. The administrative and clinical staff is as efficient and equally kind as Dr. Akrivakis. I have lived and been treated in several states for a variety of cardiac issues for nearly three decades. I have never experienced a more professional group.
Was timely and personable
Dr. Akrivakis performed a much needed heart ablation for me a few months ago. Outstanding results and great follow up. His bedside manner is second to none, his professionalism is second to none. He carefully and thoroughly explains every aspect of the procedure he is recommending. My wife and I really liked Dr. Akrivakis and his staff. I felt in Good Hands. All is well now, no more debilitating atrial fibrillation, palpitations or heart not properly pumping blood. Thank you Dr. Akrivakis!
I give Dr. Akrivakis a 5 star rating. He has been a great help to me, really cares about me and listens to my concerns and addresses them with respect and consideration. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great electrophysiologist cardiologist.
I went into the ER with SVT that had been ongoing for over 11 hours. He quickly diagnosed me and explained the procedure. I was admitted that night and had the ablation the following Monday morning. It was a complete success and a huge relief for me. I had been dealing with SVT for many years and it had progressively gotten worse. I had the procedure about 5 years ago and am happy to report that I have had no further trouble with it. He was very kind and answered all of my questions. I would recommend him highly. He does have an accent, but I had very little trouble understanding him. In the past year I have been undergoing a clinical trial chemotherapy for breast cancer, and part of the trial requires regular echo cardiograms. All of them have come back looking great.
Dr. spyridon Akrivakis an excellent surgeon did a great job on my heart He deserves applause
He was very knowledgeable about the heart and was able to answer most of my questions. However, I had an unsuccessful ablation... I saw him for about 1 minute before the procedure and he explained the outcome of the procedure to me when I was still half asleep so I didnt understand it... i had to track him down just to get an update, and he never called after to see how I was doing, never came to check on me when I was still in the hospital....
Difficult to understand his English. Phone calls rushed as scheduled between his appointments with patients in the office. Left off without clarity of reason for or necessity of timeliness in acting upon his recommendations. Long wait for surgical intervention recommended, despite ongoing pain and elevated voltage numbers supposedly of concern considering the combination of pain and the elevated number of volts "necessary to keep pacemaker working."

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
