List of Robert Baroody's Reviews
Dr. Baroody was the second person in the world to hold my first son 27 years ago and also with my second son 2 years later. We have been seeing him as a family ever since. I truly cannot say in words what he has meant to us...he has always been so patient, kind and understanding and has always lead us in the right direction. He has meant everything to our family and we have always and still do appreciate ...
"He is the best." That says it all.
I have been a patient of Dr. Baroody for over 20 years. (I'm 67 now, so in that time, I've dealt with quite a few docs.) I've found him to be one who does the most important thing first: he listens. He is empathic -- and sympathetic when it's called for -- and I never feel like I'm being rushed. Dr. Baroody is, in my estimation, exactly what we need more of in the world of medicines these days. I have recommended him to several close friends and family members, and would not hesitate to do so again.
I, my wife and family have been patients of Dr. Baroody for over 30 years and we could not be more grateful and appreciative of the care, concern and service he provided to us all, over those years. Dr. Baroody always went above and beyond in following up after every visit, if the situation called for it, and made himself available in any emergency or short notice. You could not find a more attentive and considerate family physician.
Stay away from this doctor! He caused me an ear infection with a hospital bacteria after examining my ear with a dirty otoscope top (from not washing his hands!!). He also treated it wrongly afterwards by squirting water in my ear while I had an active infection, which totally prolonged and aggravated my condition . All of this resulted in months of treatment with antibiotics, a ruptured ear drum and eventually a surgery to replace my ear drum. He also never apologized to me! Horrible experience
Stay away from this doctor! Total negligence and he doesn't know what he is doing and doesn't care enough about his patients!! I went in to see him with a neck pain (after falling on ice!) and basically came down a few days later with the most horrible and painful ear infection, never had had anything like this before!!! I saw him a second time as at that point I had no idea how I even came down with this. I had no cold, no ear ache, nothing but a neck ache from falling before my first visit with him. On the second visit when I saw him come in and not wash his hands again (other practitioners normally do!), I realized as he was grabbing the little top from the otoscope to look in my ear, that he basically just touched an instrument that went from his unwashed hands right into my ear! After weeks of unsuccessful treatment, the culture of the bacteria came back and this ear infection ended up being caused by a hospital bacteria. The bacteria lives on hospital instruments and is transferred by hospital staff not washing their hands. On both visits he never washed his hands, something I immediately noticed and told my partner when I walked out his office. And on top of that, during second visit, he squirted water in my ear during my active ear infection which caused a horrible aggravation of my ear infection and pushed the infection further down my ear canal. Big mistake on his part! This whole ordeal went on for months finally after 10 months resulting into a surgery where they had to do a skin graft and replace my ear drum. In all of this, after repeated calls to Blue Hill Memorial about this doctor, I never received an apology from the doctor. The hospital just said that they were going to remind all staff to do better hand washing and sterilizing. What a horrible, long and painful ordeal....and all because one doctor thought it was unnecessary to wash his hands while examining a patient. This could have been totally prevented! I lost almost a year of work and health because of one doctor's total negligence and lack of caring!!! Handwashing is the absolute basic necessity for a physician. This physician should not be practicing anymore as he is putting many patients at severe risk! Be warned!!!
He cares and he is extremely knowledgable.
He's been my family doctor for over 20 years and I have only the absolute highest respect for him. Also provided as much time as I needed, knows me as a person - he doesn't have to refresh his memory reading my chart. His diagnostic skill is uncanny - while he provides the opportunity to see a "specialist" his diagnosis has always been spot on, saving me and my insurer. After spending so much time in waiting rooms for other physicians, especially my ophthalmologist, it is a pleasure to know that when I arrive I will be seen as expected, and provided all the time I need. I don't know how he does it.
He has been my doctor for over 22 years and I highly respect him as a doctor and a person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
