Pleasant demeanor but as a salaried physician he gives you ten minutes of review a year to include not much more than a cursory blood test. He is over concerned about insurance issues and limits his care based on what is the least expensive recommendation from the insurance companies- not based on what better serves the patient. Legal issues suspected with insurance companies!.He and his staff never return phone calls, are administratively incompetent, and very defensive.

Dr. Barker is one of the best....just my opinion, of course. Not only does he know his 'stuff,' but he's very open to hear what YOU think! He's one of the few Doctors I've known who were willing to work with me when it came to meds and procedures. I always do a web search of any med that is perscribed and Dr. Barker has been willing for me to 'shop around' and try different things before settling on one. I feel as though we are working on a team. So often, it's like a dictatorship when one sees a Doctor, but not with Dr. B!! He has a very low key, kind manner and that is important when people are not feeling well or are in for routine, but scary tests. He is above all KIND! What more can I say?
