Richard Claytor's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Claytor and his staff are top notch. I have been a patient at his practice for several years and always receive impressive care from Dr. Claytor and his PA, Julie. The office staff are knowledgeable, professional, and warm. Most recently, Dr. Claytor performed facial fat grafting in his spotless office OR. Throughout the entire procedure I was alert and had minimal discomfort. From start to finish it was an easy, informative experience. All questions were answered to my satisfaction. The entire experience was completely organized with excellent communication. Before and after care and necessary medication(s) were made very clear. Dr. Claytor and Julie followed up with me several times after my procedure. Recovery was easy. It is very evident that Dr. Claytor truly loves his job. He is always excited to see his patients and makes you feel like you are the only one in his office. He is never complacent in his training and education for himself or his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Claytor. This is an EXCELLENT practice.

I came to this office because insurance dictates where you go. I seen another surgeon that was very helpful but they could not get in-network approval so I figure I'll try in network. Well, the staff was decent enough but I felt like my visit was just being entertained opposed to receiving genuine help or even suggestion. It took two months to get this appointment and it was a waste of time.

An absolute nightmare. One of the worst decisions I have made in my life was to entrust my surgery to this group. Amateurish, poorly executed, irreversible results that I have dealt with for YEARS and will no doubt deal with for the rest of my life.

My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Claytor. He is encouraging, knowledgeable, professional, caring and has a great sense of humor. His staff and nurses treat you as though you are a member of their “work” family. They are attentive, respond immediately to your calls and concerns. Their actions and words truly reflect the kind of doctor they work for and with. As for the results of my husband’s facelift, it exceeded our expectations. Not only did his profile and “full-frontal” image improve dramatically, his demeanor and sense-of-self returned when his “looks” were restored by the skills of this exceptional plastic surgeon. After the surgery, Dr. Claytor called him and returned every call my husband made to speak to him. Dr. Claytor reassured him each time and encouraged him to call anytime. His words and actions helped my husband feel secure, calming him and assured him he would heal. Dr. Claytor does cares about his patients from the moment you meet. After several weeks, when the healing process was complete, my husband felt younger, more virile and attractive. It doesn’t have to be hard to age. To age “well” needs a little help sometimes. We thank you Dr. Claytor and your staff for helping us make the decision to have a facelift the right one.

I could not be happier with the results of my tummy tuck! I had my surgery almost six months ago, and the results are better than I could have hoped for! I was worried because I’m 46 and I thought it was too late for my tummy to be too flat, that past surgeries had done too much damage to achieve perfect results. My stomach has never been this flat and my jeans are five sizes smaller! Dr. Claytor is not only an amazing surgeon, he’s also incredibly kind, patient, and supportive. Everyone in the office is so helpful and caring, and this is so important when dealing with such vulnerable issues. I feel like I knew what to expect at every stage of the process and how to manage my recovery to get the best results possible. I had no problems with my surgery, I had very little pain after, and my swelling after the first few weeks was minimal compared to what so many others experience. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Claytor!

I went to Dr. Claytor for a rhinoplasty. I met with a few different plastic surgeons and although Dr. Claytor was a few thousand dollars more expensive than they were I decided to go with him as I liked his personality / bed side manner. Leading up to the procedure the staff was very organized and professional and generally speaking I would say the experience was good. Dr. Claytor tried to set reasonable expectations, given that I broke my nose years ago and it was kind of a mess and probably wasn't going to be perfect after the surgery. To my knowledge, the surgery went well and the healing process wasn't too bad. As the swelling on my nose receded (I'm now about 4 months out) I can say I'm reasonably satisfied with the results. It's an improvement. It's straighter, the bump is gone, and it doesn't droop. Do I love it? No not really but I certainly don't hate it and I think there are more positives than negatives now. However I have some issues. My right nostril collapses when I breathe in deeply. The tip of the nose is very firm and bulbous maybe as a result of cartilage grafts or scar tissue and probably will remain that way indefinitely. I don't like the way that part looks and certainly don't like the way it feels. In subsequent visits to Dr. Claytor I brought these to his attention, but I found him to be dismissive. For example regarding the collapsed valve he pretty much just said that "that was one of those things - next question", not really offering any sort of medical explanation at all nor did he propose a potential solution if one exists. I felt similar style of answers to other questions and additional probing didn't really seem to get anywhere and I didn't see a lot of value in these follow up appointments. At the very end of the apt Dr. Claytor did a voice recording for record and he stated something to the effect of that I had some minor issues but was extremely pleased with everything, however, I had never said I was extremely pleased in fact the word I used was "pretty good". Again it just added to the feeling that my concerns weren't really being heard and that Dr. Claytor was sort of making up my opinion for me. To be honest I would have to consult with other plastic surgeons to know what is normal and what is surgical error, but something about those conversations just rubbed me the wrong way, hence 4/5 stars. I have a scar I would like to get revised, and I will try another Dr for that job.

Great staff

I highly recommend Dr. Claytor to anyone considering plastic surgery. From my first consultation to my post op visits, I was treated by him and his staff with such kindness and true care. Dr. Claytor has so much enthusiasm and obviously loves his profession. He is a true master of plastic surgery. From day one, Dr. Claytor made me feel comfortable and like I was his only patient. His personal phone calls to check on me before and after surgery is just one example of his true dedication to his patients. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met. I am so pleased with my results and that I choose Dr. Claytor.

After losing 185lbs I was left with massive amounts of lose skin. After reading the reviews and seeing the before and after gallery I knew Dr. Claytor was a perfect fit. I was absolutely blown away by Dr. Claytor, and staff (especially Alicia and Debbie). I went ahead and had a lower body lift in the fall followed by a brachioplasty in January and was so ecstatic with the results that I decided to have a thighplasty to complete my skin removal transformation. Never in my 42 years have I been able to wear shorts above my knee until now! My results were so stellar I went out and bought "short" shorts in every color. My confidence is higher than it has ever been in my whole life and I owe that all to Dr. Claytor. If you are considering cosmetic surgery I can't recommend this doctor and staff more! The absolute best of the best!

My experience with Dr. Claytor and the entire staff at Claytor Noone plastic surgery was above and beyond. I’m a 38 year old mom of three young children. At birth they were 9, 10, and 12lbs each. My stomach showed it! I had severe diastatis recti which made a bulge in my stomach that made me look six months pregnant at all times. From the moment I walked into my consultation with Dr. Claytor I knew he was the one. He made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed or ashamed of my body. I wasn’t asked to get on a scale or asked how much I weighed. Like other doctors made me do… The office was clean and the staff was friendly. I instantly scheduled my surgery. Abdominoplasty with liposuction and diastasis recti repair. The day of surgery went off without a hitch. Dr. Claytor made me feel 100% at ease. I have allergies to lidocaine which made me nervous about pain control post op, but Dr. Claytor came up with a back up plan of IV phenergan the day of surgery and oral phenergan for home along with pain meds and it worked like a charm. I can honestly say I don’t remember being in that much pain at all! I was up the next morning showering. Day five I was up emptying the dishwasher. In two weeks I was back to my normal routine. Driving the kids to school, housework, and after school activities. At six weeks, I was back to work as a Nurse, but honestly I could have gone back sooner. I felt that good! Dr. Claytor and Alicia were in touch with me numerous times before and after the surgery. They called me back right away with any questions or concerns that I had. My husband said “it’s like we’re VIP”. I had to take my kids with me to a lot of my post op appointments and Dr. Claytor, his wife, and Alicia treated them like their own children. My results are phenomenal!! I couldn’t be happier. My stomach has never been this flat. I no longer have people asking me when my baby is due.. Dr. Claytor changed my life! The confidence I feel now is indescribable. I can’t thank him enough!
