Dr Rao, and his office staff were just excellent in preparing and performing a recent HOLET on me. It has just worked out far better then I hoped for even though Dr Rao said I would be peeing like a racehorse. He knew what he had to offer me. Thank you,Dr Rao

Both of us (husband and wife) have gone to Dr. Rao for 15(?) years and have had excellent experiences with him and his office staff (especially nurse Roz and Dr. Rao's Wife, Rama, also a doctor but not practicing as such i his office). He's treated us for bladder cancer and for prostate issues. We've found him to be very caring, very professional, and very up to date on the latest in medical advances.

My husband was diagnosed with BPH. Dr Rao prescribed green light laser surgery and said that he takes out more tissue when he does the surgery to eliminate the need for a 2nd surgery. He took out so much tissue that my husband no longer has a urinary sphincter and is completely incontinent. When we asked questions, he had a very condescending tone, treating us as if we are imbeciles and answering the question in a pedantic way. His wife who works as his assistant is also like this. He's ruined my husband's life. I would not allow him to do surgery on anyone. He's not even a board certified urologist. We made a huge mistake going to him.

It's all well and good if the Dr. is friendly and has a good office staff, but what I'd like to know is does he perform successful operations?

I went to Dr. Rao due to BPH. He suggested I have Green Light Laser Therapy to enlarge the opening in the prostate. I had the therapy and it was the best thing I could have done. Everything is working fine and I had no problems with the procedure. Dr. Rao has a wonderful attitude and went over everything with me and my family. I was very comfortable with Dr. Rao doing my surgery.
