When I visit a doctor there are a few things that are essential to me: Did they seek to understand my problem and listen carefully? Did they show care? Were they knowledgeable about current medical thinking relating to my problem? Were they patient and not rushing through the appointment? Dr. Mercado gets five stars on everything. I felt heard, seen, cared for, with a plan going forward that I'm excited ...

She and her staff don't communicate via email usually. Getting someone to call you back with info doesn't happen either. Dr. Mercado also doesn't know how to handle a 2nd level appeal thru insurance either. She never got back to us so I found a new doctor.

Long wait in the waiting room, then a long wait for the doctor after the nurse completed my history. No responses to the 4 messages I sent over a month's time. Billed to the wrong insurance company even though I gave them my current insurance information.

Be aware that Dr Mercado will treat you like an inconvenience and be very condescending if you are not willing to respond “Yes Doctor” to everything she says. If you question anything or have concerns about your care, she becomes unsupportive and looses all bedside manner like a light switch was flipped

Dr.Mercado assumed I wasn't in pain and simply seeking drugs. My scans showed a large ovarian cyst. I have a history of very large ovarian cysts and endometriosis(yes diagnosed by surgery) . I had difficulty walking/standing up right. I could not work and required FMLA but she filled the paperwork out incorrectly and disregarded it.I had to call her office repeatedly to ask about the paperwork as to avoid losing my job and ultimately my health insurance.She didn't believe I was suffering and it broke me. I literally begged her for help because she was the only option in the area. I was in so much pain for months. She was personally offended when I said I chose not to have children and pushed the subject several times(why?!). She extended my suffering for several months as I was forced to seek help out of state. The way she treated me was borderline mistreatment. Would not recommend her for anything that isn't birth related. I regret putting my faith and trust in her.

I saw Dr. Mercado after I experienced significant vaginal tearing from giving birth, which continued to cause me pain 6 months postpartum. She performed a labiaplasty on me to fix the tearing and cure my pain. I absolutely loved seeing her. Her bedside manner is amazing and she is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. I wish I could have her as my PCP!

First time I was scheduled to see her I waited forever in the waiting room. Then they eventually put me in a room where I waited yet again and had to keep asking the assistant when she would be in. Now over an hour later the assistant says Dr. Mercardo had an emergency and would not be seeing me. Totally outrageous! I ended up seein an NP I believe who did the worst exam I ever experienced it was very painful. They obviously try to see too many patients and if your not pregnant forget it.

Dr. Mercado does NOT TREAT you like a NUMBER the way other practices treat you. She is an amazing listener and Doctor. She shares her own experiences and listens to you and always offers various options for your medical needs. I no longer longer reside in Virginia and I travel a long distance from FL and worth it to see Dr. Mercado. She is a Very compassionate and caring Physician. She is a GREAT DOCTOR and I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT ALL TRY HER OUT AND YOU TOO WILL BE CONVINCED.

Since advertising on the radio Dr Mercado is too busy to help her patients-money and number of patients is more important to her than the quality of her care for patients. Expect 3 days for a call back, expect to be pawned off to other doctors because she is too busy, one thing I didn't expect is to be lied to by her and she did a procedure on me that I didn't expect and I'm sure people heard my screaming down the hall. Run-don't walk to a different doctor! I am appalled after so many years of coming to her practice that I received such traumatic service. Shame on you!!! You need to re check your priorities as a doctor!

Office is a maze of craziness, and her staff is completely incompetent. I feel that her bedside manner is fake at best. Will be taking my care elsewhere.
