Daniel Kairys's Online Review Report Card

I have had 2 surgeries by Dr. Kairys... by far one of the best doctors in Maine. He hits every tic; he listens, great personality, thoughtful, caring, attentive to needs and will refer to other doctors in the area for issues he is not able to help with. He does make recommendations for what may be issues that a patient is having and will go to great lengths and attentiveness to find out what they are. Case in point, I had gone to the ER in Ellsworth, the Canadian doctor that was attending said I had no issues aside from anxiety... also no abdominal pain. I had gone there because I was not able to even swallow food or water for 4 days, severe abdominal pain to where I could not stand up and GI issues... the ER let me go with no medication except antibiotics. Anyways, Dr Kairys, noticed I had gone to the ER and looked over the Xrays a bit longer than the ER doctor, he told me I needed to come in for emergency surgery for a triple hernia.

A couple of weeks ago I was admitted to MCMH through the emergency room for an internal bleed. Dr. Kairys took care of me and I found him to be competent and very attentive and easy to talk to. He suspected bleeding ulcers which he confirmed via an endoscopy. I remained in the intensive care unit under his care for about four days and received several blood transfusions and am now home recovering. I too had heard all the ugly rumors about how bad MCMH is, however, I was pleasantly surprised to find the care there top notch. Everyone, from Dr. Kairys to the hospitalist to the nursing staff were beyond reproach and I couldn't have asked for better care. My only complaint was one of the young male PAs in the emergency room who was unfriendly and seemed unknowledgable. I asked for another PA and she was excellent! I don't think whining about waiting in the waiting room is a fair review of any doctor. I think it's petty.

Steer clear of this ignorant doctor who sits in the room chatting it up and laughing while patients wait for OVER AN HOUR in the exam room! I actually just up and left because I knew I should not go to anyone at the Ellsworth hospital to begin with with their foul reputation. Yesterday just made it abundantly clear that I will not visit ANY doctors, offices, etc associated with that horrible hospital! How ignorant it is for that "doctor" to think his time is more valuable than his patients. Because ultimately, that is exactly what he thinks. Well guess what Daniel, your time is not more valuable and you work for the people who visit you! I hope many walk out because you are an ignorant pompous fool and I will seek to make sure that everyone within the 10,000+ followers on social media know of your foul practices as well!
