List of Regina Kim's Reviews
I agree with several of these reviews. Combative, condescending, God forbid you are someone who is proactive in your own health care. Terrible communication. This place has caused me anxiety and feel like I have PTSD from it.
You can guess. I have never had a doctor show outward anger on their face at me for asking questions. No genuine interest in the health of her fat patients & would rather punish you for being fat & box you in as the incompetent, greedy, slovenly fatty she sees you as. The only progress I have made with her is because I have insisted on referrals and testing. The most she has done for me is tell me at 32 yrs old that I should accept female balding as I expressed repeated concern for my hair loss. "You know what you need to do is take biotin," says the woman who knows so little about me I haven't been able to tell her I take a $40/month hair supplement and have for years without progress. She also volunteered a metabolic panel when I showed zero concern or symptoms for diabetes. Even discussion of SSRIs quickly devolved into a weight loss talk. Rude, discriminatory & unprofessional. Dr. Kim is grossly negligent and an embarrassment to her field.
Dr. Kim hasn't worked at this Family practice for almost a decade. She lives in Maine, now.
Due to COVID, unless requiring to be examined in person, tele-health appointments are scheduled and prioritized. As a patient experiencing unknown causes for ill health issues for over a month, and being told it was all in my head and even laughed at, she was a breath of fresh air at appointment #1. She was oddly prying into minute details about my family relationships after she became fixated on my GAD, but felt trustworthy of her. Appointment #2 was patient initiated to discuss next steps and needed reassurance. As an advertised holistic and traditional medical doctor, and having been highly referred, I was dumbfounded at her poor manner - twisting patient words and fixating on them until I balled. A family member had to stand in the video so she knew someone else had heard the ordeal. Last straw was being told I’m just a face on the screen she doesn’t even know me. She neglected to report on recent blood work that was abnormal, received in mail instead. Holistic should be removed.
I have been seeing Dr. Kim for years and she is always empathetic and a good listener. I would definitely recommend her as a doctor.
Dr. Kim took me seriously, listened to what was going on with me and sent me to the specialist I needed to see during my very first appointment. If I had started with her, I probably would not be waiting for surgery because of COVID19. She was effecient during our meeting. She made me feel like my opinion was valid. She did not make me feel pressure to have a procedure I did not want and made sure that I understood that my uterine tumor was not cancerous. I am glad I switched doctors. She is worth the 2 hour drive!
I have had 2 visits with Dr Kim and have felt like it was a terrible experience both times. This goes way beyond a personality conflict. On our first visit, she did not give me eye contact even once- even when she said her scripted "and we want to welcome you to Mercy W. Falmouth". She has no ideas regarding medical solutions other than, "do you want to see a specialist for that?" "you have to come back and get that checked in 6 months"- when a specialist had already improved the situation and was available for followup if warranted on a condition that I had initiated all of the many visits that eventually led to a diagnosis. When attempting to explain my medical history on both visits, she said, "if it's not on paper, in the medical world, it didn't happen"- not all paperwork had been received but she doubted patient report. On my 2nd visit, she stood at the front desk, and stated," if you'd been 7 mins later, I wouldn't see you!" On the 2nd visit, she gave some eye contact but minimal. She never put her hands on me for either visit. She is a poor listener. I'm switching doctors, never, ever do I wish to go through this cold, clinical treatment. She acts like her OCD needs for all papers to be in place is of far greater importance than the patient. She is immaculately groomed but that would not be a valid reason to choose her as a physician.
one of the fines doctors I have ever had.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
