Yes, Dr. Chua can seem as though she’s rushing, it’s because she wastes no time. I actually prefer a doctor to spend more time talking with me about why I’m there rather than talking about my vacation to Alaska. She packs a lot in a little time. She isn’t afraid to order several tests. She alleviates multiple visits by being thorough. I appreciate her style of doctoring.
Just finished my first appointment with Dr. Chua and was very happy. She did more than we expected and knew my history, I feel very confident she will provide me relief.
I was overtaken rather quickly by joint pain that became excruciating in my hands and feet, hips and shoulders. I had never experienced anything like this before. My Primary Care Physician suspected RA and referred me to Dr. Chua. She made se real tests that satisfied her that my condition was indeed RA. Over a series of three appointments she "zeroed in" on a régime of medications that brought the RA under control without conflicting with my existing treatments for other conditions. Since those initial consultations, Dr. Chua has monitored my progress, with a eye to reducing my RA meds when possible, and tracking any effects on my other organs from the medications. Dr. Chua has an outstanding personality for working with patients; she leaves me feeling confident in her medical knowledge, and in her caring for me as a patient. I would fully and enthusiastically recommend her to anyone seeking treatment for RA.
I have so much wrong with me so I won't list it all. Lupus being the main monster. Dr Chua has been absolutely amazing. I was nervous that she was to young but I think that might be her advantage. She has saved my life more then once and I'm so great full to have to her as my dr.
Was referred by my physician for ongoing joint pain, symptoms and lab results. She spent maybe 10 minutes with me- didn't do a physical exam, no reflexes, etc. She raced through, talking very fast, dismissing any arthritic possibility and giving false information (claimed RA usually only involves one joint, and also that because I was RA- I could not have it; both blatantly false.) Poor treatment to patient. Unusual for St. Joseph's. Recommend you ask for the other two rheumatologists instead.
Dr. Chua listens to her patients and when she tells you what you got you better know she is right even before tests. I was told I had RA by other doctors and Dr. Chua knew right away I had osteoarthritis. She had x-rays, blood tests done to confirm it. I am so pleased at her knowledge and her demeanor. I couldn't have been referred to a better doctor as far as I am concerned.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
