List of Adam Liegner's Reviews
I have multiple serious medical concerns and Dr. Liegner really listened to and made many helpful suggestions. He reviewed all my care from other specialist. My regular PCP left the practice and Dr. Liegner assured me that he would help me until a new provider could be found.
would not refer to my worst enemy. He purposely, Falsified my medical records, purposely misdiagnose my symptoms to get paid for insurance on X-ray. Prescribed wrong meds. does not review records. does not know how to diagnose patients.
Dr. Liegner is excellent- kind, listens well, honors patient concerns, and highly knowledgeable. Grateful for his expertise!
Not only does he come across too arrogant and cocky during visits, I’m currently in the midst of a debilitating medical crisis that I whole heartedly believe is the result of Dr. Liegners gross mismanagement of my health and in my opinion lack of knowledge about medical conditions he was somehow deemed capable to treat. Also since he can’t be bothered to pick up the phone and speak with me directly like every other doctor I’ve had has done, my understanding (from having his messages relayed to me by reception) is that he doesn’t believe in a patient centered approach to treatment, seemingly doesn’t realize that every patient is different and that there is no “one size fits all” approach to medical care. It seems like a month long game of phone tag with the receptionists could’ve been handled in one phone call from him. I truly feel that he wants to get me out of his hair because he isn’t capable of actually helping me, and in my opinion shouldn’t be providing care to anyone.
This guy has a GOD Complex. Dr. Adam Liegner of Gardiner Family Health falsified my medical records listing a symptom as a diagnosis which had potential to damage me. He refused to correct it & brazenly admitted in writing he intentionally used the wrong diagnosis code in order to justify an MRI was necessary so insurance would cover the cost and he used scare tactics to intimidate me by accusing me of falsifying symptoms to get a free test and also accused me in writing of committing insurance fraud. I reported him to Maine General Hospital which employs him., and after getting my attorneys involved- the hospital's medical director reviewed my medical records and and agreed his diagnosis had no validity. The hospital's Medical Director over-rued Liegner and corrected my medical records. It took me an aggravating 6 weeks to resolve this. Liegner should be barred from practicing medicine. A claim against Liegner is currently pending with the Maine State Board of Medical Licensure.
Dr. Leigner truly cares. He takes time to know you and he "remembers" you! I love his fresh no nonesense perspective on medicine. He is thorough, caring and compassionate. I can not recommend him enough.
Dr Liegner has been my pcp for years with very sick periods not withstanding. His diagnostic are nothing short of gifted.I am 75 years old a viet nam vet with 3 types f cancer a bad heart and hes been reassuring and supportive at those episodicpoints in my life.Medical school needs a Liegner 101
I had a wonderful experience. He was the 3rd doctor I went to after trying to find the right fit and he was the first one who was knowledgeable, kind, followed through and took the time to explain things and gave background on the clinic/organization. My husband is now going to start seeing him as well. So far so good!
He was very knowledgeable , patient and caring with my son .
Saw provider for arm/shoulder pain . Provider listened to all of my symptoms, examined my arm /shoulder then came up with a great treatment plan . Provider ordered a ultrasound that was completed right in the office, Physical therapy and a sling . Explained what was going on using words I could understand . Provider was very compassionate and through. I would highly recommend this provider

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
