Memorial Hospital - North Conway's Online Review Report Card

22 years ago we had to rush our almost 3 year old daughter to memorial while we were visiting north Conway on vacation. Never in my life have I received such amazing and prompt medical attention at a hospital. Nurses and doctors were so efficient and thorough. Diagnosis and subsequent prescription called in to local drugstore to alleviate any future hassle.Also had a happy ending. Excellent hospital.Theee days ago we visited memorial to have covid tests done so we could return to Canada. Very professional and prompt. Very Satisfied

ER staff was super nice and efficient. Thank you for helping our son.

Every time we’ve been it’s been great.The maternity care from the OB departmentThe OB delivering and birthing center was awesome the most wonderful experienceThe ER was so great when my 1.5 year old needed stitchesWhen I had appendicitis they reacted quickly in the ERWhen my 3 year old needed a covid test it was easy and the nurse John who took his test was so great with my little guy.Getting labblood work done is always easy too.I’ve had great experiences at our little hospital and I am grateful

Emergency walk in is awful. I went with a jammed right knee. I couldn’t even toe touch it was so painful. I sat in the waiting room for three hours. Three other patients went ahead of me with less injuries. They finally decided to move me because I was crying and the ma had know idea what was wrong with me. I threw her out of the room. Was I waiting so long because I’m a Veteran? The doctor finally came in a half hour later. I gave him a piece of my mind. Oh ya I’m also a RN. Four hours after coming through the emergency room door I was finally in the emergency room. An hour and half later sent home with lateral tibia plateau fracture. Five and a half hours in the emergency area is just wrong They all should be ashamed of their selves. Maybe the VA should think again if this place is acceptable for Veterans.

My daughter went to the ER after she fell off her skateboard. She couldnt extend her arm and had a few scrapes on her knees from the fall. They took her in for xrays and told her that her thumb was broken and everything else was fine. They put a temp brace on her handwrist and placed her arm in a sling. The next day she was complaining of some pain but in her elbow. She took the brace off and her thumb was completely fine. No swelling no bruising she could move it with no pain but yet her elbow was still bothering her. Come to find out...her thumb is not broken the radial in her elbow is. Seriously.....???

My sister just moved closer to me and our family. She made an appointment at memorial because she needed a new prescription for her suppressant that helps reduce flareups for her chronic illness.The staff at memorial are always either extremely sweet or extremely rude. Unfortunately the doctor that had seen her was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told her that she didnt warrant a doctors visit for her prescription and that she was wasting his time because he had others to attend to.It is not a patients fault if the hospital is understaffed and it shouldnt be taken out on them. Highly disappointed of their treatment towards my sister.

Terrible place. If you value your life do not go here.

Nurses were beside themselves having to create and intake file in the ER. Really unprofessional

Dont waste your time. We had to tell about five different people our same symptoms at the walk in clinic making for an extremely long time there with a toddler. Not sure why everyone seemed to be taking hand notes instead of documenting a computer system which would have prevented us from having to repeat ourselves half a dozen times. The staff members were very sweet in person being patient with our son and even giving him some stickers but on the phone after I called for our COVID results the person I spoke with was incredibly rude. They refuse to give these results over the phone only calling if its positive instead making you sign up for three separate MyChart accounts just to find out whether you have COVID or not. When I asked the person over the phone if she could just tell me my sons results I was met with an immediate no Im just a secretary. When I asked if she could just transfer me then it was another far from helpful reply that I would need to access my sons results via MyChart. She did set me up as a proxy with access to his results quickly but when I tried to take an extra minute and a half to make sure it worked properly while I had her on the phone she might as well have hung up on me saying no this is the emergency room and my phone is ringing so youll have to call back if it doesnt. If that was the emergency room why not just transfer me immediately to someone who had 5 minutes to help me? We went there because it was the only place in the area that opened at 7 a.m. In hindsight I would have just waited for an efficient clinic with polite staff to open at 8. Weve had 3 or 4 COVID tests in Southern NH and theyve all been extremely simple experiences with results given online or over the phone. I would never seek care here again.
