Allison Mccrory's Online Review Report Card

It is with great pleasure that I am writing this review for Dr. Allison L. McCrory. I had seen a dermatologist in the Washington D.C. area who had treated a small spot on my neck that was precancerous. After several years the spot flared again. After seeing Dr. McCrory and having a biopsy she suggested that I treat this area on my neck with a topical prescription instead of the option of surgically removing the area which would have left a substantial scar. After weeks of treating the area with a topical ointment, she deemed the area clear of cancerous cells. “There is no evidence of skin cancer recurrence at the previously treated site” What a relief! We then moved on to treating extensive sun damage on my face. Years of poor self care coupled with an active outdoor lifestyle had left me covered with a landmine of dark spots on my face that were not only unsightly but potentially of significant concern to my health. Dr. McCrory suggested a medium chemical peel. Though I was at first reluctant, I did some research and moved forward with her suggestion. A chemical peel is not for the faint of heart- swelling, redness and peeling. For days… But, I could not be happier. Each and every day I look in the mirror and feel so grateful for the results. For the first time in many years I am comfortable in my bare skin. Plus, I am more invested in the longevity of my skin (before I felt like the damage was already done…oh well). The preventative measures that Dr. McCrory has suggested, both sunscreen and topical agents are now part of my daily routine. I’m so grateful for her taking the time to clearly lay out my options, risks, and benefits so I felt comfortable moving forward knowing she was available for my continued care.

Impressive knowledge, as well as respectful, positive engagement with me as a patient and as a person. Can't say enough about her.

Dr McCrory did a surgical procedure on my face and it is hardly visible. I am so pleased! I was so nervous but she and her staff were so kind and made me feel comfortable the entire time.

Dr. McCrory is a great doctor. She is kind, patient, and easy to talk to. She removed a mole on my neck and I barely felt it. Staff was quick to follow up on biopsy results.

Dr Allison McCrory is a wonderful doctor. I’ve been seeing her for several years. She’s extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant during our appointments. I highly recommend her.

I had heard of Dr. McCrory from the friend who referred me, but she exceeded my expectations in all respects. She was pleasant and professional, as were all staff members that I encountered. I highly recommend her.

I have known this Doctor for several years as both a patient and a colleague. She genuinely cares about her patients' health, their experience, and their outcomes. She is thoughtful and brilliant and patient. I trust her completely.

One month after I had a full body check I was at this practice for another issue with a different provider other than the one I normally see. She noticed a very small mole (pin head) that she didn't like and did a biopsy. I waited 2 weeks but when I hadn't heard anything, I had to call for the results and was told everything was fine. 2 weeks later, I received a call from Dermatology Associates telling me I was suppose to make an appointment to come back because they didn't get all of the area. I was told Dr. Mc Crory does these surgical procedures. I went to the visit fully trusting her expertise and never questioned what my arm would look like afterwards. The spot was in a very noticable spot on my left bicep. She did a 1+" incision diagonally so the skin pulled (stretched) when she stiched it and is pinker than the surrounding area. I have had 2 surgeons question me about it and express surprise at the way she chose to cut the area. It's ver noticible. Never again will I blindly trust a surgeon to remove a growth on my body.
