I recently had pre-op assessments and eventual ankle surgery with Dr. Dirk Asherman. As Dr. Ray White (who is retiring) said, he is one of the very best there is. I am beyond impressed with his knowledge, expertise, bedside manner, and caring nature. I recommend Dr. Asherman HIGHLY as an orthopedic surgeon and without reservation.

I severed my Achilles tendon when traveling. Dr. Asherman was recommended. I reviewed his medical background and degree. He reviewed by CT scan and based on my lifestyle suggested surgery. The entire team was great and Dr. A did a great job. I have no pain, getting my leg strength back, and the entire process though not what I wanted went well. I highly recommend Dr. Asherman.

Perhaps too soon to be writing a review because I'm only 6 days out of surgery but my experience with OA and Dr. Asherman was top notch. This is my 2nd ankle surgery and this experience was so much better than the previous at a different facility. The entire process from soup to nuts thus far has been amazing. My surgery was 7 days after my consult and the office staff, PA, pre- op, post -op and surgical experience was so great. Dr. Asherman and his staff are so nice. I had no waiting, great service, polite, kind, and caring and everyone told me exactly what was happening. I have no doubt my follow ups and PT will be similar. Thank you for finally having a pleasant experience.

Excellent care and treatment

Six months after arthroscopic ankle surgery I had twice the pain, half the mobility and no confidence my ankle would hold me on trails. I wrote him a letter and he replied with the smarmiest phone call I have ever had with a doctor, commiserating on how hard it must have been for me to write the letter. No, Dr. Asherman: What's hard is the loss of mobility and the increased pain.

Very happy with the outcome of my surgery. Exceptional and responsive staff.

A doctor only interested in young people with injuries he can fix and be a God. Frat/club boy with no compassion and likely to bend the truth is confronted about unsuccessful treatments.

I went there for many months following a ankle injury, The staff are awful, I would be standing in front of them and they would not even acknowledge me to check in. One time I timed it- 7 minutes they made me stand there and never said anything. Could have said a simple "be right with you." I never got out of the waiting room into the exam room until at least 30 minutes after checking in. I know he's busy but maybe not stack so many patients if you can't see them in a timely manner. Once in the exam room waited another 10 to 15 most appointments. I didn't receive any real help or advice, just to live with it. The pain I have is awful, I cry almost every night and my ankle still swells up and I walk with a limp. I got a second opinion and I'm extremely happy that I did. I am being taken seriously and I do have some real serious issues going on that can be fixed and not ignored. I'm too young to just live in pain the rest of my life.
