Eric Hoffman's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Hoffman fixed the labrum in both my shoulders in back-to-back surgeries. I have alwasy been very athletic, especially in overhead activities, and was very apprehensive about the strength of the repairs and what my abilities would be after the procedures. Dr. Hoffman was very understanding and addressed all of my concerns, from breaking down what he would do to adjusting his normal procedures to give me more range of motion. Two years later I'm doing great with the help of an equally terrific physical therapist. Thank you again, Dr. Hoffman. Can't recommend him enough.

Dr. Hoffman repaired two fully torn rotator cuffs in September and December of 2019. I am very pleased with the results, I feel like a new person. I highly recommend him.

I had outstanding surgical results from Dr. Hoffman for a torn meniscus . He was very detailed before and after surgery explaining what was happening and what needed to happen. He executed the surgery brilliantly and my knee was as good as new with an a few weeks.

I went to see Dr. Hoffman years ago after years of shoulder pain which turned out to be a torn bi cep tendon. That turned into a chronic rotator cuff impingement syndrome because of my job. He was great with me and said I only needed pt, not surgery. I was happy with him and did pt. I still struggle and often go back to see Dr. Hoffman's assistant Noel, who is fabulous. He always listens to me and is good with painless cortisone shots which have kept me going. I recommend both Docs highly.

Dr. Hoffman is a perfect example of a judgemental, careless, arrogant physician. Met him years prior with a torn ACL. He advised me I was not surgery worthy due my “sedentary lifestyle”. Now years later w/chronic knee pain, I see him again. He is dismissive, unclear, judgemental and arrogant. If I could give him negative stars I would. If your not a 25 year old athlete - he has no time for you. He never should have chosen a career working with people. He obviously hates people.

Dr. Hoffman is a perfect example of a judgemental, careless, arrogant physician. I had the dis pleasure of meeting him several years ago, due to a torn ACL. He seemed very distant, hurried, and uninterested. He told me because of my weight, he would need to “search” for an extra large knee brace, ( which I would not find is an uncommon need ) then, he also decided - “because you live a sendentary life style, surgery is not an option”. Physical therapy was where I was referred to. Dr. Hoffman had an attitude from the first moment of meeting him, of arrogance & felt I was judged by my weight and nothing else. Here it is, years later - after having chronic knee pain for years, with it recently becoming extremely painful and giving out at random times - end up, unfortunately, with him again, as my doctor. He was 25 minutes late, and gave me 5 minutes of his time. He again, was very dismissive, spoke in medical talk, and obviously had no recognition that I was a prior patient of his. He was completely unsympathetic & rushed me out of the office without me having a clear understanding of what was actually wrong. Again, he referred me to physical therapy. I contacted OA several times, asking for someone to please review the office visit notes with me to clarify what the diagnosis is. After 3 weeks from the appointment date, I was finally able to reach someone, who gave me information that was NOT discussed in the appointment. I had already had 3 appointments of physical therapy at this point, with an unclear diagnosis. After that conversation - I asked for a different doctor within that practice. I will never go back to Dr Hoffman again. ( I had a 3 month follow up scheduled with him ). I asked to be seen by s doctor that has been highly recommend by the physical therapist. If Dr. Hoffman choses to remain a weight judging, careless, arrogant doctor - why did he take on the job of working with humans ? He obviously doesn’t like people. He would do best to retire & become a tree surgeon - NOT a knee surgeon.
