Would not even give it one star. 2 hours plus for a simple pre employment physical for my son. I have been getting physicals for 40 years usually take an hour in and out. This place sucks.
I was run over by a 12 ton excavator working for Glidden excavating and paiving on a job for the city of portland Maine. Insted of being told my leg is broken and happend on the job the doctor blaimed me for driving from maine to boston a week after the accident and not how it actually happend. Todd Griffths from glidden excavating and paiving and bayside health both are trying to cover up what actually happend and how and 4 years later because of this hospital I still cannot get the help I need.
Easy to communicate with and they make scheduling a breeze. Highly recommend.
You need to give yourself a 3 hour time frame when coming in for an appointment. Both appointments took over 2.5 hours as we waited 20 minutes between the nurse checking us in to the Physicians Assistant checking us out and then again before the Doctor actually came in to access the injury.
Hacks. Insurance company protocol minions. They dont treat the person. They blindly unprofessionally and unconscionably serve the insurance companies. Dont go there if you care about genuine medical care.
Its funny I remember coming here for the first time and reading all the negative reviews and thinking they were just disgruntled.. a miss diagnosis and a year of agonizing pain and I see why people dislike this establishment. They blatantly lied on my paperwork they honestly only care about protecting the employer and not accruing any claims. I wont forget who put me in this situation.
Today I had a chance to tell MEMIC my workers comp company how wonderful the team is to work with at Bayside Health. Everyone from the front desk staff to the medical assistants rehab PA and MD plus occupational therapy are knowledgeable professional kind and keenly interested in improving the quality of your work experience. Steve the occupational therapist is a genius at teaching you how to stretch and more importantly how to remember the exercises without writing them down or looking at handouts. He uses a refined technique called strain counterstrain to release the pain and improve mobility. Dr. Susan Upham used acupuncture on the outside of my ear to relieve the tightness in my left shoulder and I was amazed at how much lighter the shoulder felt. Barry MacGregor the PA was instrumental in helping me adjust my work hours and work environment to ensure that I can continue to improve. Working as a nurse for 44 years in acute and clinic settings I have had my share of injuries but Bayside provides THE most comprehensive approach to achieving and maintaining wellness.
This office is great to work with. I have been a patient and also referred others to the office. Dr. Upham is great.
I had an appointment with them at 10AM. Everything was fine in the beginning but when it came to the blood draw I’ve noticed that the nurse who was taking my blood seemed really unexperienced. She tried to take it first from my right arm and nothing was coming out. I’ve never had any issues getting my blood work done because my veins are very visible I do exercise every day. Then she tried to take it from another spot from the same arm and it finally started to come out.She took two vials and wanted to get the third one when it stopped again. She literally tried to move the needle inside of my arm to find the vein. I told her that it’s hurting me a lot but she really didn’t do anything about it. I got very scared and started to get dizzy.I’ve done so many blood works in my life and have never experienced anything like that before. I almost passed out in the clinic and their nurse still hasn’t finished taking the blood draw. After 10 minutes of break she tried to take it from my left arm but she couldn’t find my vein again. She was trying to tap it with her finger first then with her nail which is never heard of. I have two sisters who currently are nurses and they said they’ve never heard anyone doing that before. I felt that the nurse was very inexperienced in blood draw and asked if they have someone else performing the procedure but they told me that they don’t have anyone else. No one should be questioning a nurse performing a blood draw. I can’t even imagine what could’ve happened to someone else in the same situation. I would never recommend anyone going there at least for the blood draw.
A place where personal opinions outweighs medical procedures. Where the doctors specifically Dr. Susan Upham are very judgemental reach outside their medical training in order it insult and demean. I quote I feel that you shouldnt drive commercially just incase you decide to drive the truck into a schoolbus or something and hurt someone. Are you kidding me? Do not trust this place to provide soumd medical advice. I was treated like a crazy psychopath and violent criminal with no evidence or reason. I have contacted a laywer on this matter.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
