Incredibly nice person and an excellent surgeon and the people he works with are the best. Quad bypass and home on the fourth day after surgery. Painless and fast recovery. After twenty years of restricted life style due to cardiovascular ailments, I am back to living a healthy and energetic life.

Dr Buchanan worked well into the wee hours of the night to repair my Aortic dissection . I am coming up on my 6 year anniversary in a few weeks . Cant thank him enough for saving my life . Stand up Man and Doctor . Thank you again and again Mike Riley

Four years ago I was found to be at best, two weeks from death due to a totally destructed bicuspid aortic valve. I was sent home from Eastern Maine Medical as the surgeon there refused to operate on me. When I refused to leave the third ambulance ride in, due heart problems, Scott Buchanan agreed to operate at Maine Medical. He saved my life. It was a difficult and tricky surgery due to the total breakdown of the aortic valve, but he saved my life. He is a gentleman and a brilliant surgeon.
