List of Thomas F Murray's Reviews
Dr. Murray did a fantastic surgery on my complex rotator cuff injury. He is professional, great bedside manner, explains everything perfectly. I am 3 months out with excellent progress. So thankful I chose him.
As a young athlete I went in to have a knee surgery, he repaired my acl and trimmed my lateral meniscus. For 9 months I complained of instability and each time he quickly told me I was fine and sent me off. I got a second opinion from a different doctor and I had 2 ligaments along with tendons that were stretched and torn. Dr. Murray completely missed them. Later when we asked to meet Dr. Murray to go over his mistakes, he wouldn’t see us. So far I’ve wasted a year and a half of my life going through PT and not being able to do activity’s that a teenager should be able to do all because Dr. Murray.
I am a 64 y/o woman who sustained a bad fall. After my shoulder didn't heal on its own, I was referred to Dr Murray by my PCP. He is extremely knowledgeable, has a wholistic training, listened to my history and current issue carefully, not quick to judge, explained and documented damage, offered options. I chose surgery for rotator cuff repair. Had a dedicated PA w me at all steps for months so I was known and attended to personally for ongoing questions and assessments. Excluding Covid delay, after 5 mos I could do anything I chose to without thinking about prior injury. I recommend Dr Murray absolutely.
I just sought out a second opinion on my MRI and was told I do in fact have a partial tear of my rotator cuff. This has been going on since July 15. My initial and only visit with Dr. Murray was less than satisfactory. He had quite the attitude, was unprofessional and told me repeatedly that everything was intact and there was no tear. How could this be?? I filed a complaint with the clinical supervisor. And seriously, I am praying that his heart and mindset will be changed for the benefit of the patients he is supposed to be serving.
Amazing surgeon! Very friendly and well educated and willing to go the extra mile to treat his patients effectively. I had a condition that required extra research and education on Dr. Murray’s part and he enthusiastically and promptly completely this to get me treated and back on my feet. The surgery he performed had never been done in this area until he performed it on me. This says something about this mans character and willingness to care for his patients. Thank you so much Dr. Murray and all the staff at OA Centers for Orthapedics.
I was evaluated for rotator cuff pain and only an injection was warranted. However, I had other symptoms and Dr. Murray referred me to a rheumatologist. It turned out that my response to the injection resulted in a total remission of my other symptoms as well as my shoulder. The rheumatologist recognized my previously undiagnosed condition from the remission history and I am now being treated successfully for that condition. Dr. Murray's insight and prompt referral to an appropriate specialist got my diagnosis and treatment on track. He also took the time to discuss alternatives that I was pursuing and to guide my actions more appropriately while respecting my decisions. His level of communication and guidance are second to none that I have experienced.
Dr. Thomas Murray Jr. Is great. In less than 4 months I went from being in horrific pain and weak to no pain and doing carpentry again. I'm better know than before my automobile accident. Dr. Murray may you live forever. P.S. I'm also playing ball now with my family.
I was in so pain before meeting this wonderful Dr. I did not know what to do. I was ready for death. I would cry at night because of pain. It started out with an auto accident and never ended. I miraculously met up with this great Dr. and: no pain after that, I don't know when I took any pain memedication, and all this was only after +/- 7 DAYS. Call me, meet me, look at my incision. I'm so grateful. This is the greatest of great Drs. Talking is cheap, results are priceless.
I had surgery in February. Done by Mr. Personality himself, Dr. Murray. Not only did he not solve my issues, he was obnoxis, egotistical and very rude. He left me with a torn bicep muscle and basically told me I was lying about the pain. The pre-op MRI showed a torn bicep muscle and the post MRI showed the same tear. Stay away from this jerk. Worst experience ever. I fired Dr. Murray as my doctor and am taking my issue to another provider.
He cut and rettached my bicep tendon with discussing it with me first. I went in for simple shoulder surgery and came out with all new unnecessary issues. The guy is a real jerk.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
