List of Memorial Hospital - North Conway's Reviews
Not only have I been treated poorly my Husband and Brother inlaw have as well. I would not recommend This hospital to anybody at all. No matter how big or small the problem I wouldnt recommend them there doctors dont know what theyre doing most of the time. They dont listen to their patients for more than 14 seconds and than cut them off. No doctor I want to see. They stock you in a hallway and ignore you. They come once and no more after that. I had what they called a fainting spell one night. I was terrified and I wasnt talking to that doctor for more than 14 second before he cut me off and chopped it up to nothing. They sat me on a bed in the hallway gave me a pill and ignored me for 2 hours never asking how I was or to see if I was ok nothing. So with that being said you can change the name of the hospital but you didnt change the way they treat the patients. Some people just shouldnt be doctors and they are all in Sanford Maine it seems this is where the poor is so this is where they can do the most ABUSE TO PATIENTS.
I recently brought my toddler into the emergency department after he injured his foot. The staff nurses and doctors were more than cordial and polite. One of the nurses let my son play with her name tag and ID and they had a laugh together. The intake nurse was very kind about taking his vitals and did his best to make sure my son was comfortable and he let me nurse my child when he needed comfort without a second thought which was super nice because at a different hospital they made me feel weird about it. A separate nurse at the nurses station outside of our room even gave my son a stuffed poky the puppy 🐶 I really loved our experience there. Most emergency departments just rush us out but they were very patient and the doctor was great as well. Very gentle and caring staff
Rude doctor. Hateful staff.
Dr Robin and Laura at the WalkIn Facility were so kind to us and personable. No wait pleasant experience and very friendly staff. Highly recommend
If you like hospitals its a good place to go they seem very knowledgeable and helpful
I recently had surgery at the sanford smhc. The staff here were wonderful as was my surgeon. I cant speak highly enough of them. I was treated with respect and absolute professionalism. Thanks to all the staff and my doctor. ❤️
I have been 3 times for an ankle injury. This time they just put another boot on and gave me a walker and sent me home. No tylenol for pain. The pain is 10 times worse now and I barely sleep. I am going to another hospital to see if this one missed something. If so I will be filing a complaint and medical malpractice claim.
This had to be the worst outpatient surgery visit I have ever had at any hospital. The SMHC in Sanford should no longer be open in my opinion. I may have hit a bad day but to me this should not happen to anyone. I arrived at noon as instructed for a 145 p.m. outpatient surgery. The admission was fine and up thru getting the IV everything was expected as this was done by 1225. From there the nurses in outpatient should be instructed about how do do their job. First I did not get wheeled into surgery until about 240 which is almost an hour later then planned. During the 2 hours and 15 minutes since the nurse put in the IV there was 1 yes one nurse that checked in on me and asked if everything was ok and if I needed anything. The sad part is I was directly across from the nurses station and out the hundreds of times nurses walked by my room there we only 1 nurse that checked in on me. There were no smiles unless they were having conversations at the nurses station. To top it off when I got out of surgery at around 400 it seemed like they couldn’t get me out of there quick enough I was one of the last patients in outpatient and they close at 600. They gave me crackers and ginger ale and told me I can get dressed. They did go over my discharge instructions. Then they had me take a few steps with crutches and said you are all set. They did not even take the time to explain how the Aircast CryoCuff worked so I had to read the instructions when I got home and figure it out. I apologize for the long review but there need to be some changes at this hospital if they want to stay open. If you don’t like your job then you need to get a job on a nurse phone line. I am not one of those patients that thinks everything is suppose to go perfect but your job is to make the patient feel comfortable in a time when they are uncomfortable just prior to a surgery. If I have my choice I would not choose to have a procedure done at this hospital in the future.
Nothing but good experiences.
Doesnt seem to matter what type of visit I have here its always a good one friendliness is presant everytime👍🤩😊

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
