I struggle with some chronic illnesses and most recently had more of a crisis. I’ve seen a few doctors but never got a diagnosis. Dr. McElhinney figured it out and she followed up with me promptly. I am feeling better and I truly appreciate it. Thank you for the good care and I’m hoping to switch to Dr. McElhinney in the future when she has an opening.

My 22 year old daughter saw Dr. McElhinney after 2 visits to the ER for pneumonia. She wasn't getting better and her tonsils were so inflamed, she couldn't swallow. She was also very dehydrated. Dr. McElhinney showed little compassion. My daughter told her she could no longer drink water, but could drink PowerAde because it was smoother. Dr. M told her that it has too much sugar and she must drink water. Even though she knew she had been in the ER twice that week, Dr. M. gave her simple advice such as walking around with her arms up in the air and to drink water. She said that popsicles or anything else had too much sugar. She was more concerned with what she was eating than her symptoms. My daughter went directly to the ER after this appointment where she was told that she made the right decision. She was very sick and needed an IV for antibiotics and fluid. We are VERY disappointed with the lack of care our daughter received from Dr. McE.

Was very disappointed when I had to find my third doctor in three years after the first two moved on to other opportunities. Today, I am very thankful that Intermed assigned me to Dr McElhinney as my primary care physician. She is respectful, caring, thoughtful, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend her!
