Dr Pilkington saved my son's life! I live in TN and I used to work with him years ago at Central Mi Hospital. When I could not get any dr to listen to me, he worked my 18 year old son into his schedule and did a complete work up on him 3 days before his vacation. Admitted him asap after Diagnosing him with perforated bowel. After IV doses of antibiotics, he did a complete colon resection on him and diagnosed him with chronic Crohn's with complications. He then acquired an abscess after surgery (common with Crohn's as they have low immune and my son's was very low). My son could not have gone on much longer in this condition. I drove almost 800 miles and we had an almost month of hospitalization for my son to get better. Dr. P worked him into his surgical schedule the Fri before he left on vacation and didn't leave the hospital from surgery til almost midnight. THen Dr. Smith was on call, he was great too! Dr. P IS OUR HERO and deserves 10 stars. PLUS, he still communicates with my son and his GI specialist! WE LOVE HIM

I have never had a doctor show so much compassion and empathy and be so vulnerable with his own experience. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND what any other doctor has ever done for me before!! The kindness he demonstrated is everything to me!! Thank you Dr. Pilkington. I just feel that saying thank you isn’t enough but that’s all I have. God bless you!!

STAY AWAY. This guys is very disrespectful and dismissive. I need surgery for a problem that requires surgery and he said he won’t do it because “it’s not severe enough yet”. Only way to fix a hernia is with surgery and he won’t. So I’m supposed to be in severe pain and unable to function instead of getting ahead of the problem. He then interrogated my wife and I about our marriage and was trying to invalidate it because we are young. Very disrespectful and I will be going somewhere else

He started my colonoscopy before the anesthesiologist was anywhere near me. Awful bedside manner and I felt violated by an uncaring, obnoxious man. Wish I’d have read these reviews before scheduling with him. There are many other choices, please reschedule with anyone else.

Dr. Pilkington yelled at me because I asked a question ? He stormed out of the room when I again said, "but we haven't addressed what I was referred here for." Seriously, stay away. There's something just off.

Good Dr. Matter of fact kind of guy but good communicator. Always able to get me in and and do what we need to. I would recommend him. A bit of a dry joker but I like him!

Stay away from this guy! ... I was having Severe pain in my stomach he said it was my gallbladder. Went in for the Operation afterwards he tells me that my Appendix is swollen and looks like it could burst but you’ll have to wait 2 weeks before we open u up again. So he basically took out a good gallbladder then did nothing for my Appendix! Talk about money hungry. This guy and his staff are complete joke.
