Dr. Rangwani really cares about his patients and will take the time to understand you and make you feel comfortable. He is extremely helpful and is always reliable if you need to make an urgent appointment.

Patient input is dismissed, family input is viewed as coming from enablers. I pointed out that the 'delusions' in my petition were my atheist views (death being the same as not yet born, Christians have delusional beliefs of Jesus, most people do not trust atheist folks). When I asked for spiritual guidance in the for of a lawyer or agnostic/atheist, I was laughed at and dismissed. Another doctor was able to have the petition and court order removed, but I still had to spend a week following Dr. Rangwani's drug plan. When I pointed out that the medications were causing my blood sugars to spike more than normal, Dr. Rangwani insisted that my sugar were already out of control prior to being admitted. Since he is the only person who can determine whether to are okay to be released you have to do what he says. I spent about 5-10 minutes total with Dr. Rangwani during my 7 days. He works to validate his diagnoses and cares very little about the actual mental health of his patients.

I have had 6 visits with Dr. Ragwani's practice after my PCP referred me to him, but have never gotten to meet him or speak to him. Instead I have been assigned to his PA, and told that, "he is not taking new patients". Audrey, unfortunately, seems to be operating under the assumption, from the first visit onward, that I must have a substance abuse problem, because I have a script for Xanax from my PCP (for the record, I haven't used any in months). She also has admitted directly on several occasions that she has no expertise in my disorder and need to look it and consult with the Dr. Audrey has put me on anti-psychotic medications, even though I have no diagnoses for anything except depression and anxiety. She's either been hiding something from me, or doesn't know what she's doing. I'm terminating my relationship with them today, and unfortunately the fact I've been a patient has now barred me from getting referred to several other practices. Caveat emptor.

The most compassionate Doctor I have every worked with. I would recommend him and both of his clinics to anyone needing mental health treatment. He and his staff truly helped get me back on track.

It was not hard to get an appointment with Dr. Rangwani and the wait time in the office was not excessive. However, his "bedside manner" is non-existent and his approach puts me in mind of a mental illness assembly line. He sees the patient for 10-15 minutes, asks a couple of questions, writes prescription refills, charges $100+ , and sends you on your way. For my relative, who has bipolar disorder, Rangwani's sole focus was on the mania. The patient spends most days in bed, refuses to interact with outside society, has an unnaturally subdued demeanor and yet, the good Dr. was loathe to increase anti-depression mediation because it might trigger mania. I understand that can be a concern, however in this case, the patient is not manic and has not been manic in some time. The bigger threat is from suicide caused by depression and yet Rangwani would not effectively address that concern.We're beginning treatment with a psychiatrist in Traverse City. He's received good reviews and we're hopeful that he'll take a BALANCED and EFFECTIVE approach to treatment. In my humble opinion, Dr. Rangwani is very good at lining his own pockets and the pockets of the drug companies. He's sadly inept at helping his patients.
