List of Nathan Gallagher's Reviews
He is a great doctor. Excellent, fast service. Figured out my health issues that have been going on for years. Very good and friendly with my children as well. I've never had any issues with Dr. Gallagher 😀
I didn't show up for my initial appointment and was dropped without a 2nd chance. I'm happy Dr. G got rid of me after reading all these horrible reviews of his performance. I dodged a bullet with my health.
I was very happy with Dr. Gallagher, he always listened and was knowledgeable about any questions and all medications I was prescribed. He even solved a medical issue that I had been having that 3 other doctors never suggested! I was sad to be leaving his care but we moved out of state. My husband was very happy with him as well!
Takes forever to send in script refills. I requested a refill over a week ago and it still hasn't been sent. A few weeks ago he ordered my insulin, then changed it to the wrong dosage of the wrong insulin without even notifying me of the change. By the time he got it right, the pharmacy was out. It was the weekend before it was available and I had no way to get it. I spent the weekend without any insulin.
Well, clearly I am not the only person who is disappointed with Dr Gallagher, as well as the “Manager “ of the clinic he works for! It’s pretty obvious this “Doctor” fails his patients by making unethical, uneducated, immature, unprofessional and completely unsafe and uncalled for medical decisions regarding patient care. He recently, ABRUPTLY, and unjustifiably cut off ALL of my 83 year old mother’s medications. Not only putting her life in danger and her health at risk, but literally used a form of Medical Malpractice called Patient Abandonment. This occurs when a physician terminates the doctor-patient relationship without reasonable notice, and/or excuse. On top of that, this Physician refuses to provide my mother with the medication refills needed for her ongoing medical issues! Even just for a reasonable period of time, until she can safely transfer to another qualified physician. You would THINK an MD, after taking the Hippocratic Oath, with it’s primary message of “First, do no harm,” would have pride in his ability to help heal! Wouldn’t even hesitate to do so! But unfortunately a lot of today’s doctors do not use the core principles, in which fundamental values has been practiced, and held sacred, by so many great Doctors of the past. This, undoubtedly demonstrates a severe lack of judgement, compassion, sympathy and morale! After a urine compliance test came back negative, Dr Gallagher instructed his nurse to call my mom and let her know he wasn’t refilling any of her meds. Just like that. No age consideration, no concern for the risk of acute severe health problems as a result of taking her meds from her. All her daily meds for BP, depression and chronic bladder infections. Her anti anxiety pill that she depended on daily to help subside her panic attacks and loss of sleep as a result. She was prescribed that specific medication, 40+ years ago and took it everyday twice a day! All that time on the same dose of 0.5milligrams, never asking for anything more because it never failed to help her. He stopped her cold turkey after all those years! Her pain meds, for severe and debilitating arthritis. All those visits where he observed my moms fingers, painfully twisted and bent into positions they don’t belong in. Sometimes she can’t use her hands at all! Does he care? OBVIOUSLY NOT ONE BIT. My mom has spent these days, without her meds, in misery! All bc this so called “doctor,” took ONE test, that was obviously inaccurate, and instead of taking into consideration, the MANY plausible explanations for an inaccurate reading, he instead disrespected my mothers integrity, and took away the very thing she needs to get through her days! She gave him ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to ever believe she was non-complainant, ever. Instead of giving it the benefit of the doubt, using a new test, he was morally ok with sending her off to suffer! Maybe even have an acute MI while desperately searching for another doctor. One that he would no doubt red flag her to! He CLEARLY lacks the empathy needed to be a good doctor, and more importantly, a patient advocate! My mom assured his nurse she takes all her meds daily, the nurse‘s reply? She “assured” my mom that mistakes are “never made” at the clinic or hospital in Alpena😳In other words, “your lying” bet HIS mom would never have been treated that way! I live in Iowa, but I know who to file complaints with in MI. Oh, and as a former employee of Alpena hospital, I have seen PLENTY of mistakes, and this ones on you😉
Not for the patient. Tried to opt out of wearing a mask because I get heart palpitations when I wear one. He won't let me opt out. Then ask at least opt out of flu shot because the last times I've gotten them I because very ill for days taking it. Said I would wear a mask, although it still gives me hot palpitations, during flu season. He denied me again! I think he is for big pharma! Changing doctors to someone who will listen to me.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a physician. No personality, would not discuss any of my concerns with me and many other things that made my experience horrific. I felt like I was a bother to him. I left a message with the office staff immediately after leaving to have management call me and it has been several days and quest what? No return call. What a surprise. I would not recommend him to anyone.
Doesn't call back patients even after multiple message are left about medical needs

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
