She said I take a lot of medicine (for various issues) ar least 12 times which I found insulting.
I have never had a doctor take as much time with me and explain so thoroughly what may be happening and what we can do to treat painher NP was just as thorough and kind
Dr. Does not return calls. Dr. Does not provide and follow through on referrals as needed. Dr. Has no resources for specialty referrals. Dr. Went off an erroneous radiology report to advise. But did not get film. Did not ask for another test. Patient did not have a 6mm aneurysm. Much grief over an erroneously situation that went awry.
I have been going to Dr. Prestegaard in Ann Arbor for many years. In the beginning my migraines were debilitating and often accompanied by vertigo. The treatment provided by Dr. Prestegaard has reduced my severe migraines/vertigo to so few that I honestly cannot remember the last time I had to end an activity because of a headache. I am very thankful for her kind attention to my concerns and intelligent response to my needs.
I am in my 30s and randomly started having tingling in my extremities and small tremors. I had a near blackout session a week before this started, and because I have medical restrictions for my job, she was helpful in trying to comply with that, and prescribed a beta-blocker. I very much appreciated that discretion, but they didn’t help. However, when the pain of the tingling was getting unbearable and even had an ER visit, she told me that she had to give me a diagnosis of epilepsy in order to give me relief with a medication that should help. It was an emergency because I was in so much pain, so I agreed. She diagnosed me with epilepsy and the medicine was anti-seized meds. I was devastated, but quality of life first and foremost. Two weeks later, now I Google search what epilepsy is now that I’m feeling a bit better, and turns out it is everything about seizures, something that I don’t even have. She basically made me lose my job over a missed diagnosis. After researching myself I think signs are pointing towards other nervous system disorders like a CIPD or GD. Thanks for making me lose my 15-year career. The staff system was also atrocious. Terrible nurse line, huge problems with communication with patients. This is just about Dr. Prestegaard though so I’m leaving it mostly at that.
Dr. Prestegaard is a wonderful doctor. Thank you, thank you for all your excellent help.
Dr. Prestegaard has really helped me over the years and I am truly thankful. Her nurses have been awesome too!!
Great care and doctor!!
a month ago-Edit I have Dr. Prestegaard MD as my regular Dr. there. She has improved my situation so much. I never thought I would ever get this degree of pain relief and relief of associated issues. It has made a huge difference in my life. Howard K K

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
