This placed dramaticly improved my vertigo I had been struggling with for years in one visit. My Pcp prescribed a medicine that put me to sleep every time I took it and trough his hand up in defeat. I have not had one episode of the room spinning like a broken TV screen since I went. The vertigo is not what I went for but it is worth every penny just for that. Thank you.
I've never had acupuncture before but decided to give it a try. This was a local spot with great rates in a convenient location. Service was professional, quick, and friendly. The interior was clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone considering acupuncture!
This business deserves the maximum amount of stars and praise that is possible. The quality of service, atmosphere created, and personality of staff are all phenomenal. The wife and husband team that operate this practice are wholesome, good humans. You can sense that they are genuine, love what they do and are deeply committed to helping people and serving their clients in ways that will enhance each and everyone's wellbeing. They listen to your needs and goals, and treat as indicated. They really are the best. I travel from Farmington Hills to Ann Arbor for my acupuncture and will not go anywhere else. Pricing is specially designed to fit everyone's budget. This is important and reinforces all the praise I've given. They want to help people (period). They make an effort to be accessible to folks from all different backgrounds and this speaks to their ethics and business practices. Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture, you-are-extraordinary. Thank you for all you do, and for the way you do it! You are very loved!!
Wonderful place. Clean, calm relaxing. I have only seen Cheryl. She really takes time to talk to you before each visit and help you get relaxed for the stay. You can stay as long as you want but this typically takes 1 hour. Appointments are easy to set up (and cancel) and you feel relaxed during and after the process. Money and time investment is really up to you!
What an amazing place! I have been coming here for a couple of months now so I feel I can finally give an accurate review. I can't say enough positive things about Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture. I had searched for a long time for an affordable place to do at Acupuncture at. Although, I had read about this place a year ago. I never took the plunge because I wasn't sure how I felt about it not being private. The other reason... I'm terrified of needles. Yes, everytime I come I get a bit anxious. However; the benefit to me far outweighs this needles. Which are so small you barely feel them. I see Evan every week. He's so friendly, professional and really knows his stuff. Pricing works on a sliding scale. Manning you pay what you can afford. $20 - $40 for each visit. The first Initial Consult and Visit is $30 - $50. The room itself is very peaceful. Yes, you are in a room with other people. They have recliners which they keep covered and change after each person. It's a very clean establishment. They also offer ear plugs you can grab on your way in because unfortunately people who snore like to come as well. I think that's my only complaint! There are white noise machines and fountains that help soothe and calm you as well as the dim lighting. If you have aches, pains, anxiety, chronic illness etc, or are just in need of some time to unwind and do something good for yourself and your body. Then you should definitely stop in and try it for yourself!! You'll be glad you did! *I don't have pictures to post because as I stated there are other people relaxing and getting well within the Acupuncture room and I wouldn't feel comfortable invading their privacy.
This place is heaven sent! Acupuncture is the only form of treatment that has relieved my chronic pain and I am so thankful this little gem is here. Evan is a very skilled, knowledgeable, and thoughtful acupuncturist. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The service these wonderful people provide are so therapeutic and valuable. Treat yourself and take care of your body at Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture.
This is going to be long because I cannot say enough about this place and the folks that are inside. To summarize: try it. Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture has made my life so much better. I feel like I can do much more now that my chronic pain is under control. Evan and Cheryl offer effective/compassionate/affordable care. There is a lot of great information provided on their website. I would allow at least 3-4 treatments to decide if acupuncture is right for you. It can be a gradual process as described below. As a starting point, Evan and Cheryl are both very compassionate and intuitive. They really take the time to just listen to what I have to say at each visit and offer their own feedback. They are both very easy to talk to and they want to help you. I see them both depending on what my work schedule looks like. It is very easy to set up an appointment through their website and getting in (even shorter notice) is not a problem. Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture has helped me with ailments that I didn't even realize I had. I started having treatments done hoping to resolve my chronic headaches (about 4 per week) and relapsing plantar fasciitis. I barely mentioned a toothache that I had been told I'd need a root canal for and the fact that I was not currently sleeping great. I felt that these could be a couple of possible catalysts for my headaches and could give Evan some insight on what to do with me. I was taking over 1,00mg of ibuprofen daily at that time and I didn't like pumping drugs into my body and did not feel that it was "normal". Up front Evan set up a plan where he recommended I come back one week after my first treatment, two weeks after my second, and as needed when my body tells me thereafter. After my first treatment my feet felt pretty good within a day or two. My headache frequency lessened. After the second treatment my feet felt even better and my headaches mostly ceased. By the third I could not remember the last time that I had taken an ibuprofen. I had completely forgotten about my toothache. I was sleeping much better. By about the sixth treatment, I had a sudden realization that I had become more productive. While my life was as stressful as always (if not more) I did not feel any of the anxiety that stress can bring. I was able to let more things go and just focus on what was in my power to handle stressful situations. I began acupuncture about 4 months ago. I now go 1-2 times per month for maintenance (self determined) and because I like going. It is relaxing and afterwards I become crazy productive. I still get the occasional headache, but not nearly as often and they are much more easily controlled. My feet feel really great and that toothache is long gone. Most nights I sleep like a princess.
Very impressed by the service and treatment I received. Haven't always had a great experience with acupuncture but I felt relaxed enjoyed the experience at A2 community acupuncture.
I love POCA, the community acupuncture collective. This is a POCA clinic, unlike others that call themselves community acupuncture but that aren't really. My shoulder soreness was fixed after one treatment. I had it treated at a different place in town where I paid literally 15 times as much and got no relief. This place is the real deal. Way cheaper with just as much individual consultation as others in town, way better quality. You don't get a private room but I actually prefer to be in a room with others because it is the 21st century opium den experience. I hope lots of people go to this: if it closes there are no other good options since the POCA clinics in Detroit and ferndale closed because of real estate gentrification problems. Worth the drive! Lots of free parking!
A fantastic resource in Ann Arbor. I am so glad I have something that can work in conjunction with my physical and mental needs i.e. Anxiety Weight Control Food Allergies Back Pain Stiff Neck Headaches and Migraines Sprains Canker Sores Insomnia Depression Stress Hope to go there for many years to come.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
