I made an appointment to establish care and for pre-conception counseling. I had done a lot of homework and came in with questions. Dr. Dowgiert was running late, and rushed through my appointment without even asking me what questions she could answer. It almost felt like she shortened my appointment and used it to get 'back on schedule' with the rest of her patients. I am very curious and want to learn from a trusted source, but she made me feel like I should have sat at home and googled instead of wasting her time. Maybe she's always like that, but it didn't come off well for a first visit, and also for someone trying to conceive for the first time. The couple of questions I was able to ask about common risk factors she didn't know answers to, and I figured an OB would. She had no advice for women trying to get pregnant while also on a vegetarian diet. This practice came highly recommended by a close friend, and unfortunately didn't live up to my hopes for establishing a relationship with a doctor I'd trust with my pregnancy. I'm looking at the U of M system to hopefully establish care there.

Dr. Dowgiert has been absolutely amazing throughout my pregnancy so far. I have been seeing her for about 5 months now, and couldn't be happier. She makes me feel very comfortable, and always seems concerned with how I am doing/feeling. She has been very supportive of me and my baby girl! My husband and I would recommend her, hands down, to anyone looking for an OB!

My daughter went to her once for severe menstrual issues, she also has mental health issues, spent only 5 minutes with her and told her to do the IUD which she had a terrible reaction to and had to get it emergency removed. So tired of doctors who treat patients so terribly not giving them time and attention
