I have been a patient here for over 20 years. if you have autoimmune issues and you need a functional medicine doctor to figure out what is actually causing your issues, Dr Neuenschwander is the best to see. He has saved my life on multiple occasions when ER doctors and your basic pcp's bloodwork say there is nothing wrong with you. The main issue most patients have is that he does not take insurance and YOU need to be proactive and want to heal: if you expect a pill to get you better, this is NOT your doctor; but if you know that you are the one responsible for consuming healthy food, exercising, and managing self care coupled WITH your doctor's advice, you have found the right place!

I had a mixed experience here. First, the good: Erin, the NP, was excellent. She was attentive, thoughtful, and I felt genuinely heard during my visit. The not good (which unfortunately outweighed the good): The support staff and billing practices. There is a 3% credit card fee that I was only told about at the time of payment. I was told an email had been sent out, but I did not receive it. This is important information to disclose clearly in advance, especially when patients are paying out of pocket for expensive care. Most people are not carrying several hundred dollars in cash to avoid an unexpected fee. I was also told I would receive an itemized list of lab costs ahead of time, which did not happen. Instead, I was given a total cost one day before my appointment, without a breakdown. That does not allow patients to make informed decisions. Overall, the communication around costs felt last-minute and unclear. As someone paying directly for care, I expect transparency and straightforward communication. As a former physician, I value clear expectations and respect in patient interactions. That was not consistently reflected in the administrative side of this practice. After my appointment with Erin, I felt like I had finally found a place that would listen and care about me. Unfortunately, I cannot continue to spend money at this practice due to how costs and policies are handled. I would encourage the clinic to improve how they communicate pricing, fees, and expectations so patients can make fully informed decisions.

I would think twice before spending your time or money on expensive supplements here. They run bloodwork and other tests, but there is absolutely no follow up. I had to call repeatedly just to get someone to discuss our results. They give holistic medicine a terrible reputation.

Operated by an emergency room physician, BEMC is an independent treatment center. I have been there many times over the last 10 years. They also practice holistic care and medicine. The staff and office is professional and friendly.

It’s alarming how detached providers have become towards their patients. Coming into an alternative health business, paying out-of-pocket you would expect better treatment. It’s vulnerable putting your trust with your time and money into something new. I never received any type of follow up for weeks after my visit. This is something I’ve come to expect with general medicine but not in a space like this. I do not understand how you can run a business like this and also with charging the way that you do. $350 for an hour, where I was told to drink electrolytes and get some sun. I paid $500 for a Lyme test which I was very nervous about being pregnant. I was never alerted when the results came in so I called and was reminded of my phone appointment which was a month out still.. a thirty minute appointment over the phone for $175. I cancelled. During my first appointment I was told I was a patient now and that I could send a message with questions. After going through the portal and all the prompts you go to send your message and you have to click a button acknowledging that you will be charged a fee for your question. How much I have no idea! I can not speak on the other providers here only Maria.

Bio energy does holistic care for longevity and optimal wellness. Dr Neuenschwander MD has gone way beyond regular allopathic training. Allopathic colleges dont train doctors in nutrition or anything beyond the Big Pharma pill dispensing, Insurance governed protocols. Bio Energy practioners with testing get to the root cause of the symptoms with holistic protocols. The same tests that allopathic doctors can request but don't understand how read them or correctly treat. Bio Energy offers many options for healing under one roof. Dr. Neuenschwander is in high demand because of his knowledge that goes beyond the standard education that medical colleges provide. The clinic staff does their very best to service the requests of very sick people who are often not pleasant to deal with. Yes you pay for better vitamins there, not cheap vitamins from that could be covered by insurance and cannot be trusted to have what they say on the label. I wish there were more doctors courageous enough to go up against the standard of sick care that is given by insurance complying clinics.

I highly recommend Dr. Neu to any parent of an autistic child! I'm so glad I found him—he's the only doctor who understood what was going on with my child. He has a lot of knowledge. He listens to parents, answers all your questions, and makes sure you understand everything. My son is doing much better with the integrative approach—we've seen a lot of progress! The office staff is also great, very supportive, and helpful.

Regrettably, my experience at Bio Energy Medical Clinic was highly disappointing, concerning, and left me in a life threatening situation. I was admitted to U of M hospital through the ER due to astronomically high liver levels caused by prescribed supplements from Bio Energy. After I was admitted the lack of responsiveness and care from the clinic was distressing. For five days, I struggled to reach anyone for assistance, exacerbating an already critical situation. The culmination of frustration arose when I finally connected with Jen, who not only displayed a lack of empathy but was also outright rude, disregarding the severity of my condition nearing liver failure. This interaction was deeply unsettling and left me questioning the level of care and professionalism at the clinic. Consequently, I opted to cancel my future appointments, feeling unsupported and unsafe in continuing treatment at Bio Energy. It is a necessity that urgent improvements in responsiveness, empathy, and patient care within the Bio Energy Medical Clinic take place. I would caution anyone to closely monitor your health with your general doctor to ensure you don't end up in a life threatening situation.

This place is not the place to go! You pay $280 to a non doctor to listen to you for an hour and then send you home with tests to take yourself. Its confusing and frustrating, and hard to say if your test results are accurate when you have done the testing at home yourself to send off. I had to call and ask where my at home kit was, after being told two weeks before at my appt it would be sent to me. All total i have spent $1000 and still did not get the chelation therapy i came to this place for. Your Dr can run most of these test as i have now found out!

Jade is knowledgeable and thorough at each appointment. She takes individual time and never makes me feel rushed. It’s been a blessing to work with her & see the improvements in my health.
