As a critical care nurse I've had a ton of interactions with specialists. Without a doubt, Dr. Bartkiw is the best. He took over a mess from a Bay City surgeon and has been amazing! I have the most movement that I've had in a year! I saw/ consulted with a specialist in Midland and U of M prior to finding him and they wouldn't touch me due to the added complication of CRPS. Dr. Bartkiw is extremely knowledgeable and a gifted surgeon. He's not afraid of looking for answers when he's not sure. My case is complex and involved multiple surgeries so I didn't just catch him on one good surgical day. He is consistent, honest and compassionate. He's called me at home, after hours to check on me and discuss things. He's very involved with the therapy too. I was ready to give up. Thank God I didn't! Also, his office crew is top notch! I don't have the words to express my gratitude to Dr. Bartkiw and staff.

Dr Bartkiw is the absolute best hand surgeon I could have ever found. He did back to back carpal tunnel surgerys on me and I’m going on over 10 years and they’re still doing great! His patients are number one in his eyes and I could tell right away . Thank you again.

Was a nice dr at first to get u to do the surgery. Then when I told him that after the surgery it felt worst he ended up being So nasty about it and started to yell about it, went to 4 different doctors for more opinions they told me this doctor ruined your hand and another surgery wouldn't help So doctor beware. Now my hand swells up and hurts all the time. The other Dr's. Won't touch it because they say they don't want to touch another Dr's. screw up. Thanks to dr. Jekell

My 78 year old father fell and broke his elbow and wrist. Dr. Bartkiw performed a ten hour surgery where he was placed under anesthesia. He went from minor forgetfulness to full-blown dementia after his surgery. He suffered after the surgery and his elbow and wrist never got better and he was in constant pain! Dr. Bartkiw feined interest while billing for follow up visits (which he could bill for) but there was no improvement. After his insurance no longer would cover - the Dr. Never even followed up to see how he was doing. He passed away shortly after.

Dr. Bartkiw is one of the kindest doctors, with wonderful bedside manners. On top of that, my carpal tunnel surgery is nearly invisible to the eye, and its not even completely healed yet. Let this be your deciding review, his work is phenomenal. Thank you Dr. Bartkiw.

Incredible hand surgeon that takes the time to make sure your procedure is done right and solid follow up. As someone that works with physicians on a daily basis, I can tell you that this kind of care is more unusual with specialists. I would give more stars if they had them. Highly recommend.
