Do not go to this office. They are very uncaring and very unprofessional. Just will send you to a ton of testing that costs a lot and you never get answers. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

My experience has been with Dr. Barbish at U of M Hospital in Michigan. He initially comes across as a nice man and helpful. He did get me to the emergency room to speed of care - for that I am grateful. However after that I'm not impressed. He pushes drugs constantly. I'd leave his office to get a call from the pharmacy that he prescribed things I didn't need or we discussed. He changed my words in documents to make things looked better or different than they were and I had to send rebuttal. He got into spats with my vascular surgeon and during that time felt the need to share information from vascular he knew would upset me. Wasn't necessary. Very passive aggressive. Made written comments that I asked too many questions. And ultimately dropped the ball on my care. I had a non-gastro doctor uncover a serious gall bladder disease condition. In addition I asked the staff twice to get a second doctor opinion and was told no -- -that I needed Barbish permission to leave him and go elsewhere. Crazy!! Who's paying the bill here??? I've since cancelled my future appointments.

Love Dr. Barbish. Very knowledgeable and spends a lot of time with you to explain what is going on. Readily answers questions and acknowledges patient as a person and not just another case. Also caught other issues that other doctors have not even considered. Highly recommended!
