List of Aparna Kumar's Reviews
Saw her for the first time. Staff was excellent. punctual. Did full panel of tests which include molds. Maybe previous person did not understand names of various molds. She reviewed results and gave me practical advise on management. very helpful overall.
I was so disappointed with the tests. I guess a good thing I’m not allergic to hamsters or rabbits that I can Guarantee I won’t come into contact with. I asked her why she didn’t try Mould or more common things as I suffer every spring and fall she said we did test for mould nothing on the paperwork said mould it was a straight up lie.
Was booked for a test with Dr Kumar. Received about 4 calls from the office to confirm information and appointment. Got to the clinic (had to make arrangement with work), paid $15 for all day of parking as their paper notice advises and went it to hear that they can't do such test and that Dr Kumar doesn't believe in the questioned diagnosis. So hpw hard that was to say my doctor that this test is unavailable or non existent. Or tell me so over those multiple phone calls? Why do I need to go through all that inconvenience to hear they can't help and opinion that wasn't asked? Anything to get paid for patient's visit eh?
Dr. Kumar is an excellent doctor. I work in a doctor's office in another clinic in town. I asked the family doctors that i work with who i should see. Three of four suggested Dr. Kumar. They said she's particularly knowledgeable about serious allergies and asthma and she really explains things well. Also they said she tends to be less aggressive in using shots than others in town. That worried me. When i saw her I'd been getting allergy shots for forever. On review, she thought i probably didn't need them. She explained why and proposed a trial going off and see how it goes. I was reluctant but she was right. I didn't need them at all. I've been without for several years now. I'm writing this now because i brought my son in to see her for his asthma. He'd been seeing a lung specialist for awhile but wasn't really getting under good control. So i asked my family doctor for a referral to her again. She remembered me even though it had been years. She managed get my son chatty real fast; he usually just grunts (guess she must have some kids? she seems pretty comfortable with them) . She suggested that he really needed to start using his inhaled steroid rather than just the ventalin and stuff like that. We'd heard that before. But she explained it to my son in a really simple and respectful way that he really appreciated. I think he bought into it because he's been under much better control now; don't have to go to the ER every two weeks and that's a huge blessing. I can see why some people may get pissed; she won't do something just because you want her to. i was none too enthusiastic about stopping the shots back when i saw her myself. She is not the person to see if you just need a doc to do what you want. You need a doc to give you an honest and intelligent opinion, then i don't think you can do better in an allergist. Smart, direct, good explainer and able to get my kid to talk...works for me.
Prefer a doctor who doesn’t take any symptoms to fill yet another test! Never experienced a doctor who just wanted countless tests, and then repeat tests. They need to exercise diagnostic sense as to what is most likely to be the case. Listen better, prescribe fewer tests!
I was referred to Dr. Kumar in 2016 after experiencing a recurring, highly reactive rash. It seemed from the very 1st meeting she was disinterested in my case and was not offering much feedback. For a time the symptoms eased, and as I felt she did not care after I pressed for more testing I let things go. When symptoms returned and intensified, she did nothing to assist, and it was only after arriving in emergency that I was referred to another Dr. Her complete lack of interest has impact in my work, my appearance and self confidence. Even the new Dr. could not get any files or relevant information from her and was disappointed by how she handled my situation. It has been shared with me that had this been looked at and treated early on, I would not be dealing or going through what I am currently. I suggest anyone referred to her, ensure they press hard, if they feel they are not being given proper consideration. She made me feel I was a bother and annoyance to her, and I will never forgive her for what I have gone through and continue to experience.
I have been a patient of Dr. Kumar's for over 10 years and she is excellent. She is kind, even-tempered and patient. She has been very helpful with my mild asthma. I took a star off for Staff because one time I was left in a lurch when I needed a refill sent to the pharmacy but Dr. Kumar was away and one of her colleagues would not give it to me. Super not impressed with that and not sure if an issue with her colleague or what was going on. The other staff are always pleasant when there. Overall, very happy with Dr. Kumar.
I had high hopes for this appointment; was really looking for a solid treatment plan to help me manage my allergies. Unfortunately, I left without one. Sadly, I am on my own to figure out how to manage my allergies. S o disappointing.
I have been seeing Dr Kumar for many years and take my chlidren to see her as well. She has helped all of us manage our food alergies and asthma. She is always pleasant and takes time to talk to the kids. I have called the office for urgent appointments and left messages for her. She always calls back and is very available. We love her.
I have been seeing Dr Kumar myself for many years and take my children to see her too. Sh is always kind and pleasant. I have never seen her be rude. She is usually punctual and efficient but always takes the time to talk to the kids and make them comfortable. I have never had felt like she was being arrogant. She has been very helpful in helping us manage our asthma and allergies.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
