Spent three days, came out with the tools to resume being a better, happier human-being. Thank you all, will send postcards =]
Extremely kind and professional leadership team. Employees are treated like family. Patient care is top priority. Wonderful place to work.
This completely BRAND NEW facility is a great addition to the area. Beautiful building nestled on a sprawling campus. I've had the pleasure of working with multiple staff at this location. They are knowledgeable and share a passion for quality service delivery. Highly recommend.
Psych hospitals are SUPPOSED to be restricted. Id be more concerned if they let patients stay there w access to all their things they had before needing help. Doctors obviously dont put patients on the same meds as they were on before having the acute crisis or needing help, because, well, obviously it wasnt working and they need to find a baseline and what will work NOW. Its not a place to vacation or have fun, no psych hospital is. So complaints of poor food quality, not getting the meds they wanted specifically, not being allowed cell phones and hospitals not violating hippa and having the PATIENT have a say so in their care, as adults, to me is ridiculous.
What is happening here? These reviews can’t be real. Mental illness is a crisis in our country and an inpatient hospital has reviews like this? Where do we go? Where is safe and effective. We need help and healing not horror. Where is the spokes person for this hospital? Please have them contact me. I need these services, but not at the cost of making me worse.
I've never experienced such restricted availability by any hospital in the state of Michigan. Staff are forced to not allow any family member to talk to a physician regarding the medical past of a patient unless the patient has given permission by obtaining a code to give to family members. If a patient is in their facility due to the diagnosis of a Physician and has a medical past. and the patient is unable to communicate the necessary information due to amnesia or trauma, the family's hands are tied, and then a psychiatrist has limited information to go on and has a higher probability of mis-diagnosing the patient. My daughter, who has suffered the addictions of Meth, and has at the hands been traumatized from domestic violence is currently at this facility, and is not getting the most accurate care from this facility, because they refuse to allow ME, her father, to speak to them regarding her medical PAST..I dont have to have permission to tell a doctor who would be better equipped to diagnose a patient if they had past medical information regarding her treatment. This facility, although being brand new, is ridiculously tying the hands of families who KNOW the past medial treatment better than anyone else, if a patient is incapable due to amnesia to explain that treatment. In many cases, patients dont think there is anything wrong with them, and blame family members for their inpatient treatment. In my opinion, if this facility doesn't get their act together, they will lose their funding and their ability to treat mental patients because NO ONE will want to deal with the nightmare of SECURITY and the level of extent they go to to allegedly protect the patient. This is not done exclusively for the patient, its done to protect the hospital from liability. Then, its a sure tell tale sign of where the motivation is for the facility..and its not for the care of the patient..its for profits.
Kind staff that went above and beyond for me. The Doctors were understanding and available. Brand new facility that is kept clean.
Had a PTSD attack first night because there was a fight right at bed time. They offered benadryl to calm down. Wouldn't let me have a trash can. Took 2 hours to be able to get deodorant to put on. Wouldn't give me a bra or my clothes until after my mom called qnd complained because I was so uncomfortable. Started a period due to stress, was given one pad at a time no place to put trash and mesh underwear that the pad didn't stick to. Got misdiagnosed. The psychiatrist Jonathan Dargo doesn't know anything about BPD qnd told me when he diagnosed me with Schizo-bipolar that the years I've been telling other psychiatrist about symptoms he was asking about I should have been diagnosed with it. The symptoms are from Borderline personally disorder. Then asked me if I got my DID from a Satanic ritual or Sexual Satanic rituals because I said Ithqt I most related to Wiccan as a religion after he asked me what religion I affiliated with. Tried to convince me he would have asked a Christian the same question after I talked to the Rights representative about it and was told that was a very inappropriate question that he should never ask. Their sight seems to show they will most likely diagnose you with Bipolar or Schizophrenia if you have BPD since its not listed. Was very uncomfortable, stressed and concerned the whole time I was there. Went in for crisis and then was not allowed my antidepressants i have been on for years and prescribed medication for something I dont have. Don't recommend unless your avoiding jail like some of the others there. Highly dont recommend going willingly like i did if you need help. It helped me not think about my crisis because I was too focused on trying to leave after all the issues that happened there.
Utterly disgraceful. Will be sharing more once I’ve processed the horror and trauma I experienced at the hands of staff. Heartbreaking can’t begin to describe the inhumanity I experienced.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
