List of Donn Latour Md's Reviews
My husband and I have always been pleased with the service. Have gone here for years.
I've been going to Esther for quite some time and have always had excellent care and in a timely manner. I've also seen him and some of the PA's and every one has always been kind, caring and very professional
There is something seriously wrong with this place. How is this "dermatologist " still practicing? Just look at the other reviews. My husband had an appointment here for a skin condition that he has been dealing with for years. He decided to try a new doctor in hopes of getting a different opinion. The doctor did not listen to my husband's concerns and prescribed him the same medicine that he was already using. This medicine is not working for my husband and my husband told the doctor this. He completely ignored my husband's concerns and did what he wanted to do anyway. The lady at the reception desk was unknowledgeable and acted like she had no idea what she was doing. It is scary and down right dangerous the way this place is operated. Warning! Stay away you want good doctor care. You will not get that here.
Wanted to give this 5 stars, however, all went very well til the end. PAs and Dr's. were professional thru Mohs procedure. Dr. Esther came in and explained everything and also uncovered wound to show me. When she left, she said someone would return and redress wound and I could leave. EVERYONE went to lunch for 1 hour and left me sitting in my room with 1 small gauze and an open bleeding wound. They were surprised when they returned and found me. They said nothing. No apology, only excuses. Dressed my wound asap and offered me some small bags of 🍟. Are u kidding me.? If this heals well I will be searching elsewhere.
Very pleasant and knowledgeable. I appreciate the good care.
1 star After Mohs procedure, they all went to lunch and left me sitting with an open wound for an hour. Exceptionally annoyed.
I have been going annually and usually see a PA. They do the quickest scan and usually nothing. I had 1 previous basal cell but nothing more in all the years I’ve gone here. I ended up seeing an MD this year and 3 biopsies taken - huge chunks out of my skin. 1 came back basal cell. It was a spot the size of an eraser tip. Next visit I walk out with a 3 1/2 inch long incision on my leg to cut it out. MAs are nice but this place seems like a factory line of cutting and biopsies, just to make $. One patient after another. The PA was rude and insensitive when I asked about scarring. They make you sign a waiver stating you’ll have scarring. I asked for the glue instead of stitches and was told we don’t use that here. Now with stitches scar isn’t healing right and it looks terrible. Dr. LaTour has taken this area over. I would not recommend his practices to anyone.
The doctor & his assistant were arrogant, rude & insulting.
I don't think this doctor even exists. He is supposedly running five clinics and has nothing but PAs and NPs doing the work. They removed a basal cell carcinoma of about 1/2" from my upper arm three weeks ago. They neglected to tag the tissue removed and when it came back that one point still had cancerous cells, they have no idea what point that is. Total incompetence. Now I have to go to another doctor - a surgeon - who has to re-open my wound and enlarge the entire incision to the size of a compact disc because we don't know which little point still had bad cells. The PA, Amber, told me there is no way to mark it. She was rude and condescending. There is a way - they're supposed to put a stitch in the tissue removed at the 12 o'clock position so the pathologist can give a position location. I booked to see Dr. LaTour, but was given a young NP. I specified that I was interested in Mohs, but when I got there they said they don't do it at that location so I wasn't a candidate. Later, after my results came in, Amber (PA) said, "We recommended Mohs and you refused." How could they recommend something they don't even offer? There was a string of condescending lies. After repeated calls to get my pathology results, I finally got a little testy in my voice mail asking SOMEBODY to call. She finally called that evening and said, "We have patients, you know. I can't just drop everything and go look up to see whether you still have cancer." HUH??? The NP who stitched my arm didn't do it so the skin edges touch, but overlapped them. Thus, after two weeks, I still have a gaping, bleeding 1" incision ripe and oozing with blood. I pointed it out to Amber PA who said, "Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes." One dermatologist is opening clinics and hiring the cheapest staff he can find, who is supposed to be directly supervised by him, and he's nowhere to be found. This place needs to be shut down! Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I left three voicemails one day and no one ever called back. I asked for my medical records and was told it would take 4-6 weeks to get them -- and me with an active cancer that they've now exposed to air. Go ANYWHERE else but this place.
I can't imagine the frustration his colleagues go through working with this so-called "Dermatologist." I've literally witness him disrespect the nurses that work for him; yelling at them like they're savages. Also, charged a premium for seeing a "specialist" for consultation and a biopsy, all being done by a PA... Horrible. It's pathetic, no compassion, does not listen to my concerns, makes quick diagnoses without thorough analysis. I'd advise to avoid this "Dr. LaTour" at all cost. No excuses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
