Very uncomfortable visit. He was extremely short & came across as condescending and arrogant. The other staff members were great, very warm/welcoming and NICE so his demeanor was very unexpected.
I just love this Doctor he was kind, compasionate and spent time with me !
Over 20 years ago, I was lying in a hospital bed after my second ovarian cancer surgery not knowing the results of the biopsies or if I would live or die, this monster of a so called "doctor", leaned over and whispered to me, "you have ovarian cancer, you have to be prepared to meet God." What a horrible thing to say to someone, my biopsies were negative and I survived!
After insisting something was wrong, he actually said "if I check you will you shut up?" I should have walked out then. Guess what, I was right. I ended up being on HOSPITAL bedrest for 3 weeks at the specialist and delivered 11 weeks early. No thanks to him.
I was concerned about the possibility of developing postpardum depression when my son was born as I have a long history of clinical depression and knew I had a high risk of it. When I asked Dr. Bard about this, instead of giving me real information about my risk factor and symptoms I should be looking for, he gave me a long "Tom Cruise-esque" lecture about how postpartum depression is mostly a woman having a hard time coping with changes in her life and a sign she needs a better support system rather than being a hormonal health issue. I felt berated and belittled by this, and was shocked that a person in position could hold those beliefs. I made sure to seek information elsewhere, and I'm glad I did because I did go on to experience this very real depression.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
