I was so impressed with both Dr Shanbom and his staff. I called to make an appointment. Got one in a week. When my ride had the day before off they worked me in early so no one had to take another day off work. Got into office quickly. The staff were all up beat happy people who seemed to care. Insurance was checked and I knew what I would have to pay ahead of time, a real plus. Doctor found the issue quickly and I was on my way home again. I would recommend this office heartliy.

Do not under any circumstance allow him to perform any Laser touch up to your eyes following cataract surgery. He totally ruined my night vision and didn't have the courtesy to apologize for his mistake. Any bright light outdoors at night now causes starbursts so severe it is blinding. This was not present prior to the Laser. Would never refer someone here.

Went to see him for a stye.... that was getting worse....only for him to tell me that it was still to early for him to do anything ......to keep applying compresses....which I was already doing....and if it didn’t go away in couple weeks to go back and see him.....and maybe put me on antibiotics .or possible lance it.....next day my eye was so bad.and so painful....I had to take 2 days off work......that I went to urgent care and was put on oral antibiotics...and am finally feeling better....

Dr. Shanbom performed cataract removal and multi-focal lens implants in both eyes in May 2016. My vision improved immediately-I don't need prescription glasses anymore-and the only problem I've had is dry eye, which does occur in some patients. The staff and Dr. Shanbom have given me sample eye drops and done their utmost to get my provider to approve the prescription drops he wants me to use. I had extra office visits because of this problem and everyone is always helpful, informative and kind!
