Dr. Leishear let me know that I have TONS of options for pain management that I never knew about. Most doctors want to treat endometriosis by surgery (which I've had two of and they weren't really helpful), while Dr. Leishear wants to look long-term into treatment.

Unexpected great results, I have been suffering with pelvic floor dysfunction for 13 years and have seen more than 10 doctors and 5 pelvic floor physical therapists during that time. My symptoms flared again in June and my PT mentioned that a new clinic recently opened in Birmingham. I called and made an appointment for an evaluation at Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine with Dr. Leishear. My experience with the initial evaluation was nothing short of stunning! She spent at least an hour with me and it was obvious that she spent the time to review all my medical history including testing done (MRIs, CTs, X-rays) and treatments (including an InterStim implant). She suggested a 4 part treatment plan to include a series of 6 weekly injections, an Rx for Lyrica & compounded suppositories, and a return to pelvic floor PT. I wrestled with the decision to have the injections, mostly because of the cost, but ultimately decided that my health was worth the money. Six months later, I feel 80% improved!
