Although we had a rough start and there was some misunderstanding in certain areas, but Dr. Jamil is a great doctor. He made sure I was mentally stable before releasing, and addressed any concerns that was going on with me also targeting areas so in the future I'll handle situations in a more stable manor and that I understood his treatment plan before releasing.

Dr. Jamil treated me at St. Joseph Mercy in-patient unit and out-patient when my regular psychiatrist was on vacation. He educated me about my conditions and found a treatment plan that worked for me. I greatly appreciated his care and concern.

Dr. Jamil has been treating my daughter for over five years. He is caring and is very professional. He returns calls in a timely manner and always answers any and all questions and concerns about her treatment.

I was recently shocked by dr jamil and his office staff for their Complete Lack of compassion and decency. I was a returning patient going through a horrible depression I had been a patient for 3 to 4 years before that. After calling 3 times and telling them this was serious NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME FOR OVER 3 WEEKS AND ONLY because I made 3 or 4 calls and was led to believe we were just waiting for a date. To be refused an appointment when I told them it was most likely short term as I was told he was retiring in a year is unforgivable. PHYSICIAN HEAL THYSELF.

I've been a patient of Dr Jamil for over 10 years. I have seen 8 different psychiatrists throughout my 22 years of treatment. Dr Jamil is BY FAR the most competent and compassionate psychiatrist I have ever had. He has gone above and beyond the "call of duty" on many occasions for me. I consider him to be like a second father. I couldn't recommend any type of physicaian I have ever had more than I recommend Dr Jamil.
