Such a kind woman and a great listener, I felt very heard and cared for. Thank you to Dr. Hewitt and her incredible team!

I have never felt so small. So helpless. I am not sure why this clinic exists. I was ill. 2 trips to ER. I went to them after 5 weeks of waiting to get in and they tell me they won’t take me as a patient. They did nothing for me. When I expressed my concern as I needed to get into see a specialist, the PA was like oh well when you find a doctor, it is going to take you 8 weeks to get into a specialist. Ok. I am ill. Two medical issues. Possibly related. Possibly not. Waited 5 weeks to get in. And oh well? Did not matter I was in extreme pain. Only had 3 days of antibiotics. I left in tears. It has been several weeks since then. I am still ill, but found a wonderful doctor and have seen the specialist. No thanks to this clinic which had no concern whatsoever for my medical well being. I worked in the medical field my whole life. The patient was always number one and always treated with dignity and respect. This clinics focus is not on the patient. Maybe the clinic and patients are second to the research? I don’t know. BUT the patient is not the major focus. And why call me after 2 weeks and tell me I had been accepted as a patient, and then after another 3 weeks have me come into the office in need of medical treatment and say oh well, we are not going to take you as a patient. We are not going to do anything for you. So I go home ill and in pain. They could have cared less. Never ever in my 67 years have I been treated so poorly.

Dr. Hewitt and her P.A.'s have missed some more serious issues with various family members who see her. They now go to Traverse City for their medical appointments. I do not care for how she talks with me, in a voice that she would use with a young child. The nurses do not return calls in a timely manner, and sometimes don't return them at all. They often seem very rushed, especially when giving injections. There have been mix-ups on prescriptions. I often feel like I'm bothering the receptionist when I call. Due to all of these issues and others I'm not mentioning, I have decided to leave this clinic.

Dr. Hewitt is very kind and compassionate. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and to address your questions. She is very upbeat. I would highly recommend her.

Poor quality period. The wait time would take up my entire afternoon. Never on time once in 3 years. NOT concerned with the meds she was handing out or the side effects. When I did my homework on a med...she was angry and simply cut me off with I never heard of that....then I gave her the web address...unbelievable. Getting prescriptions filled on time were a nightmare. I should of insisted on going to see Dr. Hewitt directly. This could of helped. Carrie her assistant does not have the people skills or compassion to work with the sick. I am sorry I stuck with them as long as I did. I am now at another Doctor (Crystal Lake) and I have never had any of these issues. This clinic never did follow up calls...you called them if you could get through. Even some of the reception staff was rude. It was apparent that people did not like their jobs.
