Dr. Merkel is a truly amazing doctor. His calming nature and wonderful bedside manner helped me so much during my c section. I was very nervous while getting my epidural but he helped me through it. He delivered our healthy 9lb son on 4-18-2022. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience!

It was my first visit with him and it will be my last. I experienced a lot of discomfort after my annual exam with him. I followed up with him about it, he responded, but then included that “discomfort” in his summary/notes as my original reason for coming in. I thought that was very dishonest. He also attempted to diagnose me without any prior knowledge of me or my body and went as far as suggesting future procedures. I took some time to do more research on him afterwards, and read in a few past reviews about people’s experience with him misdiagnosing them. This was another red flag. He talks a lot and was also very late to our appt (>25min). I decided on this doctor based on availability, but next time I’ll be more patient and do more research before booking another physician.

The best! He deliver two of my kids. 13 years apart and both experiences were wonderful. I had some complications and he was very willing to explain , listen, answer all questions, and involved me in my care.

My wife had virginal bleeding starting early 2016 and she saw Dr Merkel first. Dr. Merkel said that the problem was with the uterus and there was no cancer. In the next three years, she kept seeing Dr. Merkel and Dr.Merkel was always ‘observing”. Finally she was diagnosed stage 3 ovarian cancer!

Dr. Merkel is the best I have been seeing him for 19 years. If you are looking for a new OB/GYN he is the one to pick.

I've been seeing Dr. Merkel for years. I rarely have to wait in the reception area, he has great bedside manner and makes the annual visit easy and stress-free.

My co-worker recommended Dr. Merkel. I'm 60 years old and have seen lots of gyn's over the years. I like his bedside manner, knowledge and personality. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a good doctor.

I am impressed! I was able to schedule a new patient appointment right away. There was no wait to be seen when I arrived at the office. The staff are nice and answered questions I had before I scheduled my appointment. The office is clean. Dr. Merkel has the best bedside manner. He is thorough, knows what he is talking about, answered questions, is compassionate about my health concerns, explained in detail my options, he is honest, and I trust his treatment plan.

Dr. Merkel removes the awkwardness of these kinds of visits. He's personable, attentive, actually listens to any symptoms that I describe, and he makes it very easy to ask embarrassing questions without having to be embarrassed. He is honest and has provided me with good recommendations and guidelines as appropriate. From someone with low tolerance for pain and discomfort, note that he's also the most empathetic obgyn I've ever experienced - always gentle, equipment warm.
