Very attentive to my situation

I have been a patient of Dr. Hurley for many years. He is knowledgeable, communicate, responsive and very kind. Every time I have had stones and go to the ER, he quickly responds to the ER staff. He quickly orders medication for the pain and nausea. He gets to the hospital as soon as possible. Unlike some urologists my friends have, he does not send me home to suffer until the stones pass. What a blessing that is! Because I have large stones that will usually not pass, he performs lithotripsy to blast them then removes them. I am very well cared for by Dr. Hurley. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I have an appointment on 9-30. I want to let you know that due to my my severe PTSD, I cannot and will not wear a mask, and regarding temperature taking, I absolutely cannot have ANYTHING POINTED at my head.....is this going to be an issue?

Excellent Urologist.

Very pleasant and competent staff in my experience. They usually get me in and out in a timely manner. What doctors office does not run behind once in a while. Quality of care is more pertinent to me. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Hurley removed two kidney stones on two separate occasions after I experienced severe back pain. Both stones were large and had just exited my bladder before becoming lodged. On both occasions the hospital staff and Dr. Hurley were compassionate concerning my pain. I had no issues after both surgeries and highly recommend Dr. Hurley to anyone who is experiencing kidney stone issues.

I have experienced the same customer service at the Farmington Hills Office. Arrived at my appointment early. i have been a patient for over a year now. Spoke with the young lady over the phone whereas she clarified all of my insurance etc. I waited and waited only to see people that arrived after me go in and come out and then finally she's calls me up to the desk asking for my I'D and insurance card after waiting for over an hour. Mind you I was on my lunch break. after that I waited another 30 minutes until I finally just left. I received a call from his office asking me on my appointment date did I see him???? Really! How unorganized can you be.

First of all my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer by his PCP, by a blood test and physical exam. So an appointment was made with Dr. Hurley, his urologist since 2012. At his consultation a bone scan and CT scan was ordered. Trying to make these appointments was also a disaster, Dr. Hurley’s office could not verify my dad as a patient for the CT scan. So I had to call and no one could explain what happened. He had both tests done and the results were in. The doctor spent about 5 minutes with us to tell us the results. The bone scan was clear (he has bone cancer) as was the CT scan. After meeting with his doctor in the cancer center, and an MRI, he has also been diagnosed with bone cancer. Not very reassuring that a doctor makes such a serious misdiagnosis. So after receiving such devastating news a receptionist from his office decided to call my father, when I have made it quite clear all communication is to be through me. She gave him a hard time about an appointment that was missed, which had been cancelled by his oncologist. She proceeded to get him upset and wanted him to make an appointment 6 weeks away, with no explanation or reason for it. He told her to call me and she was going to send me a letter. WHY A LETTER, SERIOUSLY! He has cancer, time is important. That is just another delay. So if you are looking for a totally incompetent staff, this is your place. I would seriously recommend checking into another office. PS. Serious violation of HIPPA laws also when she gave me information on another patient, not my dad.

Dr. Hurley himself is wonderful. The Novi office double and triple books appointments. My appointment today was for 9:45 am, it is 10:20 and I am still waiting. Expect to wait at least a half an hour AFTER your appointment time to be seen. I show up early and never once have gone back on time. Very poorly run.
