MI Express Urgent Care Canton's Online Review Report Card

Our experience with MI express urgent care of Canton. Went very well. Everyone was kind and it was fast.

The doctor was very attentive and listened to my concerns and really helped me out. But that doesnt take away from the fact that I was in the office for an hour and 15 minutes with no other walk ins infront of me and a singular appointment that was at the same time as when I got there. I was there for a skull splitting migraine and ended up throwing up in the sink in my room 2 times because they were extremely untimely in getting me the meds I was there for. This is the 3rd time I've been there over the course of a year and everytime has been a similar wait with no apparent reason for it.

Perfect! Very professional, very kind, treated my kids great! We went for 2 sports physicals and were in and out in no time. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Office was super clean.

I am a registered nurse myself (for the last 18 years & counting), and have high standards (sometimes impossibly so, lol) when it comes to all things healthcare-related. With that said, I personally have NOT had very many positive experiences when it comes to using various local urgent care clinics, when faced with an ailment after-hours when my PCP is unavailable. In the past, I’ve found the vast majority of these facilities to be excessively crowded/packed with inordinately LONG wait times to see a clinician, most likely due to inadequate staffing, and the inability of patients to pre-register & upload insurance cards online, as well as the inability of patients to schedule tentative “appointments” online. I’ve also observed at a couple local facilities what seems to be inadequate training of staff regarding standard triaging protocols based on the acuity of patients, or perhaps just a failure to implement them successfully. For these reasons (and probably others as well). I have always dreaded having to utilize these urgent care clinics, due to how easily obtaining a simple antibiotic prescription tends to become a long, wasteful, ALL-afternoon-long “event”. With that said, I did NOT have high expectations for MI Express Care when I initially found myself searching for an urgent care clinic online this past week, in agony due to an ear infection. After skimming over reviews, and checking out MI Express Care’s website, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the entire registration procedure could be completed online (yay!) + I was even able to quickly & effortlessly upload my ID & insurance cards using just my iPhone (yay again! lol). The entire registration process from start to finish was very simple & streamlined & was 100% compatible with using just a mobile device, which is practical and perfect for people like myself who are often on the go without a laptop or desktop computer readily accessible. I was able to complete everything online in just a couple of min. In addition, I could select a preferred time slot online & although it was not a *guarantee* Id actually see a clinician at promptly that time, the website explains that doing so can dramatically reduce wait times, nonetheless. I arrived a few min early surprised to see an empty waiting room (there were other patients in the building, but all were already in exam rooms from what I could tell).. I was taken back to an exam room almost immediately. After taking my vitals, I was told the clinician would be in shortly. Within 5min the MD on duty was in the exam room with me, addressing my ear infection and prescribing me some much-needed antibiotics. So in total, I was in & out of MI Express Care within like 10minutes, tops, and on my way to my pharmacy to pick up my Rx. What a pleasant surprise this facility turned out to be, unlike all my previous experiences at other facilities. Staff was pleasant and the service they provided was very prompt & professional. 5 STARS!!!
