List of MIchigan Medicine, Canton's Reviews
This is office has gone down tremendously. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to be waiting for an hour in the waiting room every time you come or be in the office for over 3 hours.
My main complaint is, and has been, that in terms of delivery of care, UM Canton places no value on why I walk in their door for services. They have a "one size, fits all" approach where everyone must go through a series of procedures regardless of why they booked an appointment. I have a consultation tomorrow to go over test results and I still will be subjected to the same standard procedures as if I was to receive a full and complete physical exam. Absolutely a total waste of time in a situation where time is scarce and expensive. They desperately need to tailor their delivery of medical services to better fit why people walk in their door seeking medical attention. One size does not fit all. One size fits none.
This office has changed and lacks the professionalism it once held. After 20 years of going to the facility for health care, I have decided to seek health care elsewhere. Trying to get an appointment with PC is difficult. And when I do, I get charged an extended 40 minute visit that doesn't last more than 5 - 10 minutes. This has been a repeated occurrence and across all doctors for my family of four. Several occurrences of doctors being rude, insulting and displaying medical gaslighting. There is only two outcomes of our visits, either the virus will just run its course without any meds or we would be referred to specialists. Pediatric doctors don't take time to learn about special needs. We received more compassion and care from nurses and nurse practitioners. I have literally read notes from pediatrician that an appointment was inappropriately scheduled and a waste of time. I agree, seeing these doctors are a waste of resources. My family deserves better care.
This Mlabs staff are the worst. Several complaints have been made regarding inhumane treatment regarding the method they use to draw blood. Not toention Hipaa violations and the staffs carelessness to be discrete about personal information of their patients. In have complained several times but nothing was done. So disappointed at the UofM for not taking complaints about this land seriouslyare
I'm so impressed with the staff and the care I receive. I was searching for a local doctor for some time and researched doctors who I felt I could connect with the best. There was a bit of a waiting list, but it was worth it when I got in. The wait time is always short when you have an appointment. I have gone here for doctor's appointments and lab work. For bigger issues, I drive down to UofM's main campus, but absolutely love this location and all the people that work there.
I've visited this Canton location primary for two things: my son's glasses and occupational therapy for myself. The Canton optical shop staff have been kind and friendly. They do a great job of fitting him with frames. However, his glasses are brought over from the main location at Kellogg it seems and that always seemed to add extra time. Sometimes, we would have to wait an extra week until someone drove to Ann Arbor to grab them. There isn't really much room within this shop so I'd have to hold my toddler son as I couldn't let him loose. It was only difficult whenever I needed to bring both babies in. For occupational therapy, the staff was quick to get me in after my doctor referred me for a hand injury. I worked with Carly who was phenomenal. She gave me all the tools I needed to reduce pain and make going about my day more manageable. She listened and made sure I understood all my exercises for the week before I left. The OT team in my experience was great!
We recently visited the Canton U of M Lab. The entire staff that we interacted with were cold, rude and very unfriendly. My son had to get a large blood draw abs they were very insensitive to him and behaved as they were very annoyed that we were there. I would not recommend this lab and would enough the staff to be reminded that getting blood draw can be a tough experience for patients especially kids abs to try to show a little more compassion. It was very disappointing.
55 mins on hold. Total negligence. Called again and been on hold again. What a dump.
I called to ask if they offer a certain medical test, the woman said no, and then hung up on me promptly without saying another word I feel sad that medical professionals that work here are not better trained to provide common decency to individuals that are sick and ailing
UMHS Canton Health Center administers top-quality healthcare and maintenance. The doctors, nurses, and other medical or business personnel work competently, effectively, and compassionately so that you can leave better than how you came.
